I worked for Innovative Industries for a decent amount of time, and boy was that the biggest waste ever. They post an ad on craigslist, telling you that you will be a manager, 40k a yearn and a bunch of other bull. Then you go into a group interview, where they tell everybody the same thing. Then they do a second interview for the people they think they can con.

Once you actually start there, the chaos begins. To me it seemed like Grant Mclean and Andrew Sheckell had no idea what they were doing, they were always late, they never had anything prepared and then after that craziness, they send you out to sell there fake cologne and perfume. The kicker is, you never get paid, the only way to make money is if you sell there product for more than what they tell you to.

For me the selling wasn't horrible, don't get me wrong, I felt like I was working a lot for nothing. The thing that really got me was that they had no idea how to run there own business. Plus, Andrew, who is the stupider of the two, has sex with half the girls who come through the door, even though I heard he has the clap.

After a few weeks, I got really tired of the BS that they spew everyday, plus after the first week, they want you to work every waking hour to sell their product. You go into the office at 9 and stop selling at around midnight, then do it all again the next day. They say that once you finish training, you can own your own business, but everyone who works there has been there for a long time, a lot longer than 8-10 weeks and they are not making any progress. They are basically milking wou for your sales.

Bottom line, if you don't want to get scamed out of your time, and girls if you don't want to be sexually harassed by Andrew, then don't go to Innovate Industries.

I just wanted to let you know that the company infinite enterprise aka elite enterprises aka scentura creations is also now called taylor and company llc. also on the business license andrew sheckell is listed as an owner. Thank you for your posts. I put in my resume and they way they operated with their response sent me red flags. Glad I did research a head of time.

Same company, Same BS, now called Elite Wholesale Fragrance.

Andrew Sheckell is still there as of 8/2/11.

He emailed me today from Andrew Sheckell elitewholesalefragrance@hotmail.com

I applied for a position I did not know was with this company and his response to my cover letter/resume was "Bla Bla". They use ads for receptionist, admin asst and office manager, NOT SALES...that's fraud.

I guess I should have responded "Clap Clap"....(Ewwww)

Complete waste of time and effort with this company.

I am reporting them to the state labor board for investigation. I seriously doubt they have their licenses, IRS requirements and such in order.

Don't waste your time selling knock perfumes for nothing. Job hunting is hard enough already.

Well, I was just reading the rebuttal to my original report. The funny thing is, Grant does not rufute any of the information that I gave, the only thing he can really say is that Andrew is not involved with the comapny anymore, which may be true, but everything else I said was true and he knows it. He trys to talk about the two different training paths, but there is not two training programs. They post an ad for management and receptionist, but the receptionist position does not really exist, it is just bait to get more people in the door. 

It seems though at this point that it does not matter, I tried to call the number that they gave and it is out of service, and they have not posted any ads on craigslist for a good period of time.

I wanted to say one more thing, the report that I posted was specifically for Innovative Industries, and Elite Management Group, if either of these still exist. The ooportunity that they should of been providing is a good one, if you are commited and willing to sell some s**t. The reason I posted the report is because the people running these offices are slimy bastards, and I hope that this report helped ruin their business, because after the way they treated us, they deserve to fail. There are other companies that provide the same opportunity, such as Invictus Management, and I know for a fact that they are upstanding owners and treat their people with repect and decency. To Grant, go f**k yourself, you lying b*****d.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Grant McLean, one of the managers atInnovative Industries. I was told that someone had posted a complaint on this website. I know who did it, which was really the most heartbreaking thing to me after all the generosity that was given to this person by everyone here at Innovative. If youre reading this its obvious that you are a sharp individual by doing research before joining our company. Im going to go over and explain everything that was said about our company in their complaint so you have a clear understanding.

First, We do post our ads on Craigslist and give a simple easy to understand overview of the positions being filled,. During your interview we go further in depth on whichever position you are applying for to help with any mis-communications or questions you may have. Typically when we post ads we schedule anywhere from 60-80 interviews by the end of the week which is 15-20 a day. Honestly I dont have time to meet with everyone one on one. Its pretty typical for a few people to be scheduled at the same time.

Your first interview is for us to get to know you and explain more about our company and the positions available. Most all first interviews will sound very similar. After explaining the positions you let us know which position you would like to pursue. When the interviews are done for the day I review all 15-20 of the applicants. Those who receive a call back will be invited back for a second interview.

Your second interview is about a hour and a half of time its a informative meeting about our company so you can make the educated decision on whether or not this business including the training entailed for that position will be something that you want to pursue. Given that this is what YOU want to pursue I will have you come in for your orientation.

Going into this next section I want to make it very clear that Andrew Sheckell is NO LONGER affiliated or associated with Innovative Industries for several reasons including but not limited to what was previously stated. Now that he is no longer with us Im more than happy to say that this business is much more organized and our day to day process is running more efficient than ever before. All of the craziness, never having anything prepared and always late problems are no longer a issue.

Depending on which position you are pursuing your training itinerary will be different along with the pay you can be expecting to receive during that training period. During the interview process you have all that information explained to you in full detail. Its obvious that the plaintiff did NOT take notes during their interview process let alone ask anyone to clarify how their pay works and the amount of time actually required to complete training.

Management has the most in depth and extensive training out of all the positions of course, which means you will be trained in all positions that you will be overseeing during your training to ensure you can manage others in those positions. Training for a manager is approximately 8-10 weeks and you are ONLY required to do training during the regular training hours were open. 8-10 weeks is the average and I understand for some that can be quite a bit of time so we let people continue their training after regular training hours and on their off time, giving them a opportunity to complete training faster. There are people who have been with are company for a while and have chosen to go into management training, I can see how that might be disconcerting if someone in training was to ask them how long they have been with our company.

Honesty to me it sounds like the plaintiff is just trying to detour people from being a part of our company because they were let go from training after violating company policies and procedures repeatedly. If this company is EVERYTHING that they say it is then why would they have stayed here for a while or a decent amount of time? It makes no sense, right?
