Our Company contacted Innovative Merchant Solutions within 5 days of our account being opened. The reason for termination was dissatisfaction of service and gross misrepresentation by their sales representative.
We were told that the credit card machine that we have (Omni 3750) would handle two merchant accounts simultaneously the existing account we had with another company and one with IMS. It was made clear to the sales representative that I did not want to end the service with the other processing company because we are under a 3 year contract. She said that we could have 2 accounts simultaneously on the type of machine that we have. We repeatedly asked about this and she repeatedly said it that both could operate on the same machine and furthermore that there would be no charges if we did not use their service. There would be no obligation if we did not use the service.
However when the agent called to do the programming he erased our existing profile on the machine and said that there was no way that 2 profiles could be on the machine. So we immediately stopped the programming process. We had to contact our other merchant to have them reprogram our machine.
When I spoke with one of the customer service managers, she said that the sales rep was independent and all she could go by was what was on the paperwork. She said that only one merchant account is allowed and that she could not do anything about the contract at this point except charge us $395 to terminate it because it is within the first 6 months.
At that point we had never conducted on transaction using Innovative Credit Solutions and we still have not. They are charging our bank account $32.50 per month. This company is harboring unethical sales reps who lie to get a sale and fail to be accountable afterward.
