My daughter was on vacation outside the country over the summer where she fractured her left arm. After a couple of months, I went to her pediatrician where he looked at her and her xray pictures and said it was ok to remove the cast. since he did not have an electric saw, he recommended I take her to Inova Hospital which I did.

At the out patient desk they told me that they could take care of the cast at the emergency room. I walked there and asked again if someone could take my daughter's cast to which they said no problem and called a tech for that matter. I signed in and waited for a few minutes for the tech to come from another floor. Once the tech arrived he said no problem and took us in to a waiting room where he brought back an electric saw to take the cast off.

At that point a doctor showed up and asked who gave the order to take the cast off. I told him that was Dr. Reed who is my daughter's pediatrician and he said that they needed an order from an specialist. I asked if there was one there that I could see and he said their's was busy but that I would have to come back tomorrow. I stated that was not possible since I wanted to take care of it that day. So we left and I ended up getting taken care of the cast elsewhere. Total time at the emergency room was about 15minutes and nothing got done.

now I have two bills totalling US $700 which I think is outrageous concidering that nothing got done there. I sent a letter to the doctor after I talked to customer service that could not help at all and he lowered his bill by $20. They should take these people to jail for ripping us out.
