I bought a Cingular phone for $300 and was promised $300 in rebates. I am a very organized person. From the moment I got the paperwork for my two inPhonic rebates, each for $150 (Customer Loyalty Rebate & Customer Appreciation Rebate) I filed them (with proof of purchase, receipt, etc.) and noted on my calendar exactly 180 days from the day my Cingular phone was activated. (The rebate stipulation was that it had to be mailed between 180-210 days from the time of activation.) I took the letter to the post office on August 30... exactly 182 days after my phone was activated. The letters were postmarked. They were received by inPhonic/wheresmyrebate.com within the month because my name showed up in their system. A month later, I hadn't heard anything. An inquiry requested that I be patient, as it could take 6-8 weeks. A month went by. I inquired again, and they had no record of my paperwork, and sent me a form letter requesting that I fax in all the paperwork again. I did. They acknowledged that they received it and said it was in process. I emailed a month later and said that the UPC was unreadable. I sent it again. Then I sent the whole package of forms again.

Then I got this in email:
"Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the status of your rebate. Our records indicate 2 valid rebates are currently being processed. Checks will be issued and mailed to you upon completion of processing."

Then I emailed repeatedly asking for status... most recently was told that "* Your rebate claim was postmarked too late. Rebate claims must be postmarked between 180 and 210 days of activation"

This is a lie and an excuse to not honor my valid rebates. I am owed $300. Is there going to be a class action lawsuit against these folks? I will continue to email and call, but I am getting nowhere.
