Instant Checkmate I've never even heard of Instan Checkmate but a charge for 59$ & change was somehow charged to my debit card...& the phone # given had been "changed or discinnected" when I tried to call to find out what was going on. Internet

 I did not even know who or waht Instant Checkmate was or did...but a charge for $59 & change was suddenly charged to my debit card....how did they even get my debit card #???   I did do a background check on myself to see waht was there months ago but don't remember being charged or giving my debit card # but evidently I did for some reason???   The info I found was incorrect & not complete so I just forgot about it.   I did not sign up for any kind of service...I thought I was just doing a free background check on a site I found through a search engine...I searched FREE Backgorund Checks...this as I said was months ago.   I don't understand why they would wait months to charge my acct. if I had signed up for something....obviously I chose the wrong website in my search...I tried calling the phone # that showed up on my bank transactions & it had been "changed or disconnected"...so I have no way of actually contacting them & no idea if  or when they might try to take money from me again!  I am getting a new debit card...which is always a hassle because I have to call the gym & charities I give to so they have my updated info.

I am on disabilaty & make less than $800 a month & suddenly I am being ripped off...I think I am generous enough to legitimate charites such as the ASPCA & Vetran's Relif fund, etc. condsidering my limited income and it enrages me that there are people out there ripping people off.  I know if happens but I've been very careful online to keep my banking info OFFLINE.   These people should not only be in jail they should have THIER background checks include thier dubious ways!
