As I was reading your report . I agree the fees are way to high for a simple 1040 should not have been over 75 dollars  being in the tax field for over 25 yrs . BUT .your refund is based on numerous factors . it sounds like to me that you the majority of your refund was EIC . theses are some of things that you have to take into consideration  how much did you make ? How much was withheld to the IRS  did you have any daycare expenses any education credits etc all come into play. So to you I say  Always and I repeat Always ask the pertinent question before you sign your name or agree to any services .

I would be interested in going along with a suit on this company. I went in and filed my taxes with the Stockbridge GA location on Jan 31. When I called to check fees, the woman, Shawna, informed me there would be a FLAT FEE of $249 for everything. I went in, had he do my taxes, minus a coupon of $50. She printed out a form that said my total back I would receive, but it was $1000 more than what she stated my refund would be. She said she would need to check with her boss, but everything would be ok. Mind you, I never signed anything about fees.

I get home, and look over every detail of my takes, and I see fees of $356, not including bank fees. I called back to the office and she told me the flat fee does not cover forms. NO ONE EVER informed me of other fees.

I signed up for Direct deposit into MY account. On my e-file, their account info was listed. I asked Shawna, she did not know.

After waiting and waiting, TAX TREE finally deposit my refund, MINUS over $600. WHAT am I paying?

Everytime I call, they never answer because of my caller ID.

Now, waiting on State, I called the state to try to get answers on where my state refund is. Guess what. They never submitted it to the state. Almost a month later.

Called CORP, now im waiting 4 days to speak with owner.

I'm ready to press a suit on this company. Any others want to join?

 K after i was denied for the Ral, two different people from the MIdddletown office said I would have my full refund on January 25th, Went there and was told that people that filed between the 18th & 21st got moved to February 1st.... So my husband got the # to Tax Tree ( The Lender) And he said it would be Feb.7th that's when the IRS releases my funds.. If that's the case i could of done this myself... And i would not have had to pay $592 to have them prepare my taxes.. Could of done it for FREE... I am calling Channel 12 The trouble shooter.. The BBB And looking into getting my money back... I'm a fighter and will not be screwed... It's on INSTANT TAX and TAX TREE..

I have been having the same issue With INSTANT TAX in Middletown Ohio. I filed my taxes on the 18th and was told i would get a RAL check in 24 to 48 hrs. And they still don't have anything..... I am going to call our local news.. They need to be exposed for what they are doing.. Also didn't know that i had to pay over $200 to the bank for my taxes too. In the past i only had to pay one fee and that was for the place that filed my taxes... I will never step foot in that place again... I wish i would of known that they where cons...

I was charged $400 to file my taxes. Maybe it's my fault for just assuming because I had my taxes done in the past by agents such as H&R Block and so forth. Always the fees have been between $90 and $150 to have them process so I didn't think anything else of it. So I asked and she stated oh just $400 and I said to her, "you have to be kidding me". I said then well I don't want you to continue she states its too late I have already processed your claim. I said why is the fee so much and why isn't that announced since you guys have all of these low tax filing ads. She said she has nothing to do with the advertisements that are produced. I hate this place. I claimed a child and the only amount I got back was $2940.00. Allowances on my W4s is 2. Head of household and my 5 year old. she told me the $400 comes out first and the remaining amount above is what I will get. This is crazy. Is there anything that can be done about this or am I just a$$ed out as my mother would say? This was the location on Covington Hwy in Decatur, GA.

I had the same exact issue at the INSTANT TAX SERVICE in Morrow, Ga. I went there hoping to get the 24-48 hour loan. I did the process after NUMEROUS errors (read the report I posted this morning). they basically had me thinking I was getting the loan and I finally called them and they said I was denied. I personally don't believe that anybody gets approved for the loan I believe thats a part of their scam. I filed a report here, with the IRS, and I plan on calling the local news channels also because there is nothing good to be said about this company. I also plan on looking into a class action lawsuit because they need to be put out of business. Let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested.
