I needed a loan to pay for expenses I incurred at my college University so I could get the hold taken off of my student account and register for classes.I went to Instant Tax Service to apply for an "Instant Cash Loan", on 12/30/10.

My complaints are:

The employees were very unprofessional

The employee who processed my "Instant cash loan" gave me misleading information and seemed to be very incompetent about the loan and income tax process.

The company refused to take the loan back the next day.

Here's what happened:

When I arrived at Instant Tax Service, some of the employees were crowded around watching music videos on the computer.During the remainder of my stay, employees played Rap music while clients were being served.Very unprofessional.

A woman with pink and black hair processed my loan.I had to help her locate the tax withholdings information on my pay stub. She told me that I was approved for $300.00. I agreed to take that amount, so she approved me for it and it was automatically on a prepaid debit card that she provided me with.

She told me that If I filed my taxes with them, I would pay an estimate amount of $300.00 for them to file my taxes. She also said that I could apply for an RAL, but if I was denied for it, I would still be charged the price for the RAL.Then she had me sign some paperwork.

As I began to read the paperwork I was signing, she told me that I didn't need to read everything, because it was just an agreement that I would payInstant Tax Service back once I recieved my income tax refund. I noticed that some of the forms were 1040 forms, (Individual income tax forms) dated for January 15, 2011.

Confused??? I asked her Why would I be signing 1040 forms already if she didn't have my W2 forms yet? Why was the 1040 forms dated for January 15?

She told me that this would make the process easier when I came back to file my taxes with them. I wouldn't have to fill out all the paperwork again.

I told her that I didn't plan on filing my taxes until I recieved my 1098 tuition payment form from the University I attend (which I get a tax credit for). She told me to call her if I don't recieve the 1098 form before January 15, otherwise she automatically files my taxes on January 15 2011.

I asked her how could she automatically file my taxes without me giving her my W-2 form, and she told me that she could look up my W2 form online.

Never heard of this before.

Is this true? Can Tax service companies really look up your W2 online and file your taxes?

Anyway, when I was a few blocks away from Instant Tax Service, the woman called me on my cell phone and told me to come back because she forgot to make a copy of my social security and id cards.I went back and let her make a copy.

When I got home later that evening, looking over my paperwork, I noticed that she put my son's social security number down as my social security number on some of my paperwork.

I also noticed that the bank (Urban Trust Bank) that I recieved my loan from is suppose to recieve my tax refund first, and then give me the remaining balance once they take their $300.00 loan out and their income tax processing fees.Seems like this is a long process before I actually recieve my refund.

Also, Although, she told me I would pay an estimate of $300.00 for them to process my income tax return, the form in my packet says and estimate of $552.00 which is way more expensive than what the employee told me.

As I googled information about Instant Tax Service, I noticed there were alot of complaints about Instant Tax Service not giving clients there refunds until January 29th.Other's complained about how this company makes fake W2's based off of your last pay stub and automatically file tax returns.

I should have followed my intuitionand never accepted a loan from Instant Tax Service when I got the first few red flags.

I called customer service a day after I recieved my loan and asked if I could just repay it back. The man told me that I could give it back.He told me he couldn't do it over the phone. He told me to call the location I got my loan processed through and give it back to them. When I called Instant Tax Service location the employee told me there was no way I could give it back.It would have to be taken out of my income tax refund.

I would like to know if anyone knows who I can complainto about this matter.I do not feel comfortable at this point, with them processing my income taxes after the experiences I've had with them thus far. They are very misleading and I would hate to see what happens once it comes time for me to file my income tax return. I would like to give them their $300.00 loan back as soon as possible and not have them file my return.

Help!!

AUTHOR: nikkisc123 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, February 02, 2012

I am in a similar situation with Instant Tax Service in SC. I cannot get any answers from anyone and it all seems very shady to me. Is there a legal way that we can get through to them? This is not fair for them to take advantage of people the way that they do.

Instant Tax Serive is a rip off

AUTHOR: TAMEKA - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 04, 2011

I went to get a loan from instant tax and I was told everything I signed was to say I will pay the loan back when I got my taxes. I was never told they will automatically file my taxes they said I could come back in Jan when I get my w2 forms. The girl put my income in the system wrong witch made my amount be off by almost $3000.00.

When I found out the company was filing my taxes without my w2 I knew something was wrong I called and asked for a manager and talked to a lady who was very rude. It seemed all she wanted to do was argue to protect the fact they filed my taxes without even telling me and she kept saying they went by what i gave them off my last pay stubb. I told her it was the wrong amount. If i had have been told the trith about the fees and the processing I would have never accepted the loan i would have turned it down.

I never seen any papers datedJan 15th she said i signed to allow them to process my taxes. When i left from getting my loan iwasnt given any paper work i was told they would keep everything untillI come back with my W2. I worked to jobs last year so when they filed my taxed not only did they input the wrong amount they didnt have anything from my other employer now i have to do an amendment and they say they wont charge me for thatialso told them i need not to be charged the almost $600 fee they charge to process this. So I finally called another location and they gave me the nameof the gmI have called him serveral times and he hasnt responded to any of my calls i still haventbeen refunded anyof the fees and now i have to wait another 6-8 weeksto get the rest of my refund that i should havegot in the first place. I also called the irs and they gave me the name of a form to file an fraud report and i intend to do.
