I got a call from BellSouth informing me that they were mailing a notice to me advising that there would be $175.66 on my next phone bill for calls made to a 900#.

I got the notice and saw that there were several calls charged to my phone over a three (3) day period - all around midnight. The strange thing was that one call was placed at 12:12 a.m. and lasted 2 minutes and the very next call was also placed at 12:12 a.m. and lasted for 17 minutes. How does that make sense!

I called the billing company, Integretel, and was informed that someone downloaded some software onto my computer, which in turn, dialed a company called InfoServicZZ. I told the lady that there was no possible way that this was done on my computer because I work for a living and am not stupid enough to be on the computer after midnight. She then tried to say that someone else must have done it; to which I replied was not possible either because the computer is kept in my bedroom.

I finally got enough of her mouth and told her that they had better give me a credit for this bill or I would be contacting every consumer satisfaction agency from here to high heaven. Needless to say, I got my full credit.

I would like to warn others that if there is a trojan virus on your computer that says it cannot be cleaned, deleted or quarantined because it is "write protected", contact your ISP immediately! This is how people gained access to my computer.

Received Credit Voucher

AUTHOR: Brandy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 05, 2005

As I previously stated, Integretel assured me that I would receive a credit voucher for the amount that was charged on my phone bill.

Well, miraculously enough, I actually did receive the voucher in the mail about a week later. The voucher was made payable to my phone company so I had to forward it to them. They in turn applied it as a credit to my bill.

Although my situation has been satisfactorily resolved, I am still spitting nails because I'm so ticked off about it. Like many others, Integretel tried their hardest to get me to admit I authorized those idiotic charges, and having failed in that endeaver, they then tried to get me to pay all or at least half of the amount anyway! Integretel and their "client", InfoServicZZ, are nothing but theiving criminals who WILL milk money from unsuspecting people under false pretenses if they can get away with it.

If you, or someone you know, are having this same problem: DO NOT GIVE IN TO THEM!!! Stand firm and get nasty with them if you have to; but don't let them get their hands on one dime of your hard-earned money!
