I was charged $43.60 for a phone call to 900-444-0358 by Integretel Inc. to AtlantisMg on April 26,2006. No phone call was ever made to that number. I have never used a 900 number.

I contacted Integretel on May 30,2006 to complain about the charge and was told the call was traced to my phone. I told them no way and I would not pay the charge.

On May 31, 2006 I reported the scam to the local sheriff department and made out a complaint form.

I went on the internet and tpyed 900-444-0358 and the Rip -Off site came up so I am filing this report.

Do you have a computer hooked to a phone line of any kind?

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 31, 2006

If you do, your system more than likely has been infected with a type of trojan that runs a dialer program.

It can be installed and run without your knowledge or consent.

A good firewall and an antispyware/adware program are essential for any internet acces at all.
