Intelius , Gave my credit card info to another company without my authorization Bellevue Washington

I used Intelius to do several reverse phone number searches. I don't have any complaints with that part. However, a few months later I noticed some charges to my credit card from a company called www.AP9*PMIdentity.com. The company's full name is Privacy Matters Identity. They had been charged me $14.95. I found their phone number after doing a search (888-840-6301) and called them.

I was told that they had been given my credit card information by Intelius and that I had approved a service to protect my identity from Privacy Matters Identity. I told them that I had never approved this and demanded my money back. They refunded me the January 2008 charge.

After I got off the phone with them, I found that they had charged me THREE more times. $14.95 every month from October to January. None of these charges were ever authorized by me. At this point, I called my bank and had them handle the situation. I also changed my credit card information so neither company had it anymore.

Do not use Intelius and do not use Privacy Matters Identity. They don't protect your information - they steal it.
