Intellitec Medical Things change and not for the best ColoradoSpringsColorado Springs Colorado

Im a 30 year old single mother, and decided to stop bartending and get a "real job". I enrolled with Intellitec Medical to get into Dental Assisting. When I enrolled I also signed up for Ccap(state funding for daycare). They telling when and when I can take my child while I am in school. My child going to pre-school and her school starts at 8:15 A.M. I cant drop her off till 8:00. That puts me at school around 8:15. I was told my EVERYONE in the administration office that this was not an issue.

My first term was great, my second term was not bad either, then 3rd term came. I got my grades from 2nd term in the mail. I seen that I received C and not a B or an A. When I got back from winter break I asked my teacher about this, she told my she gave my a B, But the supervisor changed it to a C because I was late everyday.(keeping in mind I was told this was not an issue) I dont PAY to attend school to get bad grades.

I have asked everyone in the school for help with this and they all say "I will look into it" but nothing have been changed and it has been 4 weeks. I also pulled my attendance reported, and it only show that I missed one day!?

The school has also changed the attendance rules. We can not make up time that we have missed(being sick,court, kids, ect) Knowing that we are all grown adults with jobs, families, kids, and everyday things) The things is that we can not make up time that we have missed, but now we have to make up time that the school is closed for holidays, or snow days. We have to come in on a Friday to make up this time! I know that 75% of the students have to work on Fridays and/or have issues with daycare. I for one signed that I attend school Monday-Thursday. My Ccap wiil not pay for me to go on a Friday!

I have called and called to get my Ccap changed so I can attend on Fridays but it will take 30 days or more to get it done(thats the state for you) I have to attend school on the 1st of Feb, and if I cant find someone to watch my child, I will lose 25 points for the day. That will drop my grade from an A to a B.

In the handbook that we signed it states that that can change the rules at will, IF it does not cause hardship to the students! OK its causes hardship and things need to be seen by an outside source.

We have a new director, and its her that has make these changes. We all understand that she has rules to follow to keep the school going, but things have to work with both sides.

We are all there to better our lives. I just want the chance to attend school everyday, get good grades, and go in with my life. Instead I have to worry what new rules they will hit us with(everyday). The change the rules like the weather changes.

The board the accredits us states that we attend school 5 hours a day, but it also states the they are 50 mins hours. Doing the math they are keeping us there 20 mins more then needed daily. When I brought this up to them they stated that 20 mins was not a big deal to keep us. If this is so, then why is my 15 mins late everyday a big deal? The students of this school need help fighting them. Making it possible for eveyone to attend!!
