This man uses local newspaper ads; unsuspecting, nice women sales reps and highly emotional internet advertising to con grieving families. He manipulated my 92 yr. old father to get money he didn't deserve!
Now I know why he wanted the final money PRIOR to the installation---he knew once we saw the poor quality we wouldn't pay him!
The finished product was inferior; red majic marker lines still on the stone; stone was not the desired thickness, length or width ordered;stone finish is not durable-(water goes into stone), letters were sprayed black which was not wanted and will deteriate quickly.
Burton appears to be hiding behind the internet to do business.
He treated me, the grieving daughter with extreme disrespect, arrogance, threats, etc. His business should be shut down!

Quality, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I am a trained professional who studies and writes on monument design. Jill is not trained in monument design.
Jill complains that the stone finish is not durable-(water goes into stone). Now, cemeteries are filled with granite stone and we cannot control the durability of a product that is known for its quality. Everyone knows that water will permeate stone products.
We used lithochrome (an industry product used to tint stone) to letter the stone. We have an email from Jill where she instructed us to use black lithochrome. Lithochrome is commonly used in the monument industry. In time, it will deteriorate, however, I do not believe it will deteriate (sic) quickly. All lithochrome will fade when exposed to sun and the elements. If you observe a house that has been painted, it will fade in time. This is normal for current manufacturing standards.
Ultimately, we did threaten legal action would be necessary if we were not paid. Jill left us no other choice as there was nothing else we could do. Jill's father is a very nice man. He was our client and we had an outstanding relationship with him. Our relationship with his daughter was just the opposite, not by our choice, but by Jill's actions.
