The company sells a 3-day trial for $2.95.  The thing that they don't tell you is that they are going to charge your card for $139.95.

I noticed the charge on my card the day it hit my account.  I called them that very day.  The guy I talked to said he would cancel my account and refund my $139.95.

But after a week of no refund, I called back.  This time they tell me that I canceled too late and that they won't give me a refund.  I talked to a supervisor that tells me the exact same thing.  They will not honor what their first rep told me the first time I called.

They set it up so that by the time you figure out that they are going to charge you, or have already charged you, it is past their "period" for a refund.  What a bunch of bull!  In my opinion, they set it up specifically so that by the time you figure out that you have been had, their "refund period" has expired.

So, if they are a legitimate company, why don't they prorate a refund?  Because they are NOT legitimate!  My opinion is that they exist solely to rip people off.  That IS their business!  Stay as far away from them as possible.  If you get caught in their trap (scam), get with your card vendor and file a claim, ASAP!

Dishonest in Business Practices

I am going thru the same thing with this company and they refuse to give a refund saying I agreed to the terms.  There is no where on the website that asks if you agree and even the email to confirm your "membership" takes you to a different site so you aren't even sure what is going on at first.  They lead you to beleive that they are shipping you something so that is what the $2.95 charge is for and you never do receive anything

Then, they put a hold on your money the same day you sign up so you don't even get the 3 day trial before they charge your account to take the $139.95.  I ended up with 2 $37 overdraft fees because of their deceit and them not sticking to there own terms of agreement.  They were quick to point these terms & conditions to me but when I pointed out to them that they didn't abide by them they got rude and wouldn't try to help me.

I even had a representative from my bank on the phone with me and they tried to tell her that the bank put the hold on my funds causing the overdraft.  Anyone that has ever worked in the banking industry knows that is not true.  Again, another lie to try and take the focus off of them.

Even though their regular customer service (phone center) leaves a LOT to be desired, they were true to their rebuttal of this complaint and did refund the money.  Thank you.

Thank you for your correspondence in connection with the above-referenced matter.

Internet Cash Machine is a membership site that provides users with all the tools and information necessary to learn how to post product websites and mall webstores, as well as, launch products for auction on eBay.

In order to sign up for the Internet Cash Machine program, the customer MUST go thru the following steps.

1.     Client reaches Internet Cash Machine offer site through different
        internet advertisements.

2.     Client is directed to a sales landing page to enter preliminary
information, in which there is a link at the bottom of the page to
the Terms and Conditions of the signing up for the program.

3.     Then the customer must provide their credit card information on the
secured payment page and must agree to the terms and conditions, that are
conspicuously displayed no more than 80 pixels from the order submission button.??

In addition to clearly spelling out each fee required for the service, we provide the number for the customer to call to cancel the account.

Based on the above representations and facts, there can be no question that ICM has taken every step to assure that all the terms and conditions are displayed multiple times throughout the sign up process and after the signup is complete.  For any customer to state that, they were not made aware or did not see or was not informed or did not authorize the charges regarding the charges for the service, would be a misstatement.

Regardless, if this customer is not satisfied with the product, the charges or the customer service, Internet Cash Machine, as a customer service gesture will assure that this customers account is terminated and no further charges will be conducted on their account by our office. This customer can keep any materials that were received as our gift.

Internet Cash Machine is committed to the success and satisfaction of all of its clients and conducts its business in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.  Please contact our office directly if we may be of any further assistance.

Respectfully yours,

Internet Cash Machine Staff
