Global International Lottery Company Aka National Recovery Service I received a telephone call and a fax indicating that I won a 2.5 million dollar lottery QueensMontego Bay New York

On December 3, 2008, my Mother received a telephone call from a Steven Myers stating that he was from National Recovery Service (NRS) and that she won funds that were being held in an offshore account. She was advised that a U.S. Marshall would pick her up and take her to the bank to cash her winnings.

When my Mother began to ask questions regarding how she was selected, Myers offered to fax a letter to her explaining and told her to check out his company at www.narsnet.com.

The fax was from a company called Global International Lottery Company. The letter indicated that she was the first and third category winner in a lottery and that she won 2.5 million dollars. The letter also stated that her funds were being held in a LOTTO NET. The internet website was for a company called National Asset Recovery Service (NARS) and had nothing to do with NRS (I called NARS HQ to confirm that they were not responsible for this scam). Please note how they will try to confuse and convince you with a legitimate website.

The letter indicated that she should make a payment to Howard Barrett of Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica, in order to receive her winnings.

The letter was poorly written, with incomplete sentences and no contact information for anyone in the company, which should serve as a major clue to everyone. In addition, the letter stated that she should understand that they would not be able to take the $550.00 fee out of her winnings because the winnings were in a certified check, paid to her attention, in which they could not legally deduct money. What a JOKE!!

Steven Myers called from 876-316-2183. When I called him back to advise him not to call my Mother again, he was not available.
