After ordering Dave Espino's Aution for Income, I discovered the material to be woefully inadequate. Included in the material you are encouraged to call a phone number and join the "Success Team". These people are PMI (Profession Marketing Institute). They promise you the world in sales with your own website and their own professional coaching. I gullibly fell for their pitch to the tune of $6,044.00. You will get 10 sessions of 30 minutes of coaching for $300.00 an hour and a store building packet from StoresOnline. There is a 3 day refund policy to review well over 200 pages of questionable material. It was bad enough that all this came at a grossly inflated price, what was even worse was that even though I interviewed with a pitchman named Brandon Lee for well over an hour, he failed to reveal all costs. Buried in all that material, I later found a document notifying me that "The yearly maintenance for said Storefront is $2,500.00 per year..." At this point my outrage was complete. I was already feeling taken in my gut, but this was too much. Half way through the coaching sessions as I am today, I am none the wiser. My last coaching session consisted of being walked through the process of listing an item on Ebay! $300.00 per hour for information which is free on the Ebay site. Unbelievable and unacceptable. I am glad they did not reveal that pesty little "maintenance fee". It will be the angle with which I can use to show their deception. On this day, July 15, 2004, this is what I have done. I called my credit card companies and filed disputed claims reports. Discover card made it very easy-no paperwork. VISA is making it a little tougher. I must file a written explanation and provide my story. I also reported the cards lost in order to get new card numbers. This I was told was prudent because in the case of VISA anyway, if I was further defrauded in the future by them, VISA wouldn't help me. So this cost me $10 per VISA card. Discover did this for free. Lastly, I filed a consumer protection report with my state's attorney general's office and this guy is a bulldog. I believe that I WILL get my money back, in time. I also send a firm email to PMI and politely demanded my money back and notified them of my actions. I will report back on this board as the situation progresses. My advice to anyone thinking getting involved is simply this - DON'T. I would just like to say a bit more...while I was writting this, I got called by a young man with Auctions For Income trying to involve me in their own mentoring program(?). I told him my experience and he disavowed any knowledge of PMI. But I informed him that his own company had involved me with them and even read to him right off of their own material. He was incredulous and I urged him to let me talk to someone higher up. He would not. But said he could give my number to his director and he would call me. I said yes, yes and urged him to do so. That call never came....All very strange, indeed. Then my coach called she said she had never heard of the $2,500.00 maintenance fee, maybe it was something new, and that I should talk to customer service. I declined saying I was no longer interested in doing business with PMI anymore. This ends my story for now. As I've said, I will follow-up this message in the future Tom Vadnais Heights, Minnesota

Similar Indeed !!! AFI, PMI & StoresOnline vs. AFI, PMI & IDI

AUTHOR: Doreen - (U.S.A.)

To get all of your money refunded you must be able to prove misrepresentation, deception: What they told you to get you to buy vs. what you received and how it doesn't represent what you were told. Disclose all product titles, company names etc., in your reports.

Please see my report at:
http://ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff109132.htm
I received 100% REFUND

Read your report while researching. While yours was on AFI, PMI & StoresOnline, mine was AFI, NMR/PMI & IDI. IDI has merged or partnered with various groups that all have UNSATISFACTORY BBB ratings: PCS, PMI, Summit Consulting / The Summit Group. News report stated that IDI purposefully chose Chief Financial and PCS because they were virtually integrated with their operation before the merger. Makes one wonder ifTo get all of your money refunded you must be able to prove misrepresentation: What they told you to get you to buy vs. what you received and how it doesn't represent what you were told. While PMI coaching handles & manages the coaching portion, who actually made the sale? In my situation, it was "The Summit Group" that made the sale hiding behind the name "Auctions for Income Success Team", while IDI was on my credit card statement.

I think many reports target the front companies, the ones that are most visible, while the deceivers stay hidden and unaccountable.

I got 100% refund directly from the fulfillment company: IDI Internet Development Inc because the sales group "The Summit Group" stonewalled, offering small refund, not full refund, argued, & blamed, proving that the customer will never be right.

pmicoaching.com shows they are involved in Real Estate = America's Note Network that has Unsatisfactoy BBB rating. One of their dba's is PMI, along with Dalbey Publishing, Dalby Publishing, Winning in the Cash Flow Business.

PMI left Kansas City, MO with no forwarding address but stated that this company is headquarted out of American Fork UT, which happens to be the city & state of The Summit Group, well at least the division that made the sale to me. Summits 800 number from IDI is in Maryland. PMI's Lindon UT address had unsatisfactory BBB rating and states that they had a strategic alliance with StoresOnline. Their Kearney MO address is the same address as NMR, National Marketing Resources which was the coaching title given to me as my coaching provider. My coach was actually quite decent to me but had no power in providing refund, all that went back to the sales group "The Summit Group".
NMR & PMI show Steve Thorne as CEO or Principal.

I feel that "The Summit Group" is an umbrella name for many of the smaller companies they own or partner with. If you try to find BBB reports on the summit group, not found. But Professional Consulting Service, Professional Marketing Inc and other names all have unsatisfactory BBB reports. Couldn't find address for The Summit Group, but a search of their address turned up Summit Consulting, both show Colton Moody as CEO and has an unsatisfactory BBB rating.

They keep changing business names, moving but all complaints are similar.

StoresOnline, Orem UT, has judgement against them.
They were required to do several things: 3 day right to rescind, pay back consumers, provide consumers a list of all additional & optional services prior to finalizing sale. I think COSTS should be added here. The Summit group used 3 day rescind in their telephone solicitation, without the consumer benefit of listed services and costs prior to finalizing sale.

All of these companies know about this judgment and the requirements of the judgement. Yet, they continue to deceive consumers by incorporating 3 day rescind to TRAP consumers.

I feel these companies should be held accountable to the FTC requirements, lengthy description of what they are required to provide consumers. They certainly didn't provide this information to me prior to finalizing the sale. Can be found at:
http://www.data.bbb.org/denver2.asp
which is America's Note Network, Boulder CO, BBB reliability report, toward the end under Educational Comments.

Wishing everyone the best of luck in getting their refunds. While I did receive a refund I feel these companies must be held financially responsible for their bad business tactics.

I've read reports from consumers that purchased
E-books, these sales/coaching groups have been calling them also. BUYER BEWARE, be careful of back door phone solicitation if you've purchased any
e-book or infomercial product.

Stay strong ! Good luck to all.
