America Online AOL dishonest deceptive manipulative billing Dulles Virginia

I called AOL Billing 4 times to cancel my account. They read the same script over and over each time.

They ask why you are canceling and they they give you BS on why you should keep it.

For me they said, since I have high-speed access AOL saves me from the plague of all the viruses that can get onto my computer.

To my defense I tell them I do not have a PC but a MAC. They have nothing to say about viruses on the MAC because I don't get any because it's not a problem for me.

So they tell me I get 2 months free the second time I called, And tonight I called twice and the first guy gave me a free month.

The second lady I spoke to today tried to give me another month free to "decide' whether to stay with them or not. My decision was already made when I made the call.

by the way, 3 out of the 4 people I spoke to had Indian accents. I am not racist or anything, but we need to keep our IT jobs and such domestic.
