I've already, stupidly given them a total of about $3,000. I'm suppost to be starting the marketing part and have already signed agreements. Then I found all of the info about 4 days to late. I was just wondering if it is at all possible to back out of contracts and get any money back. If not what would be the best way to keep them from scamming me. They haven't done anything to me yet but I'm still waiting. I know my idea could sell if it's not already out there. And I don't trust their patent search. I wouldn't mind continuing with them as long as I can protect myself. If that's even possible.

Is it possible to have a Lawyer talk to them on my behalf or have I already signed that right away?

I would really like to get in contact with someone that can really help (ex-employees, lawyers, ex...)

Also if I backed out now could I still try to patent and sell my idea without getting sued by them?

Invent won't tell you this up front since they "SAY" that their "STAFF" will take care of everything you need

AUTHOR: Rigon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 11, 2004

Hello Shawn,

Shawn: I've already, stupidly given them a total of about $3,000. I'm suppost to be starting the marketing part and have already signed agreements. Then I found all of the info about 4 days to late.

Rigon: If you recognize that you have "stupildy" made a $3,000 dollar mistake, then you're not alone. Many like you have fallen into the trap of not bringing a lawyer into the idea they bring to Invent-Tech.

Invent won't tell you this up front since they "SAY" that their "STAFF" will take care of everything you need, from searching for your patent, to making a sample of your idea to present at their "Idea Fairs".

The only problem is that they are so good at smooth talkin' you into putting up the money to get the ball rollin' that people fail to go to a real lawyer that will interpret what your contract says in plain english or layman's terms if you will.

Shawn: I was just wondering if it is at all possible to back out of contracts and get any money back. If not what would be the best way to keep them from scamming me.

Rigon: I really do hate to say this, but your chances of getting your money back are like winning the lotto. If a lawyer were to get involved now, he may say you signed a perfectly legitimate contract and probably wouldn't find any discrepancies regarding their operation. Mind you, the person over the phone can say whatever he wants to hook you up then reel you in.

The irony here is that the contract on the hand other protects them (Invent-Tech) from people who want to only use their services and then pull out... shame on us, huh.

Here is a site that they give you if you are somehow discouraged by those who are trying to save you from throwing your money away, here's the site: http://www.invent-tech.com/fud/

There are many contradictions in this "fud" page, but I'll let you be the judge of that since they probably didn't give you this link knowing that you were going the full nine yards with them.

Believe me, these guys aren't still in business because all these ideas have been taken care of using Invent-Tech's "MARKETING SERVICES". They are still in business because they have perfected a way to completely make it legal for them to swindle people out of their hard earned money. What they say is completely irrelevant to what their contract says. What they can do for you is all hearsay in the beginning stages. Once you send them your money their contract protects them from you.

Invent-Tech runs a legitimate operation with intentions of making thousands upon thousands of dollars from people that are infatuated with their idea and ready to make it big. Invent-Tech will elevate your expectations and call you and say whatever it takes to make "YOU" believe that your idea is unique, patentable, and surely longed for by certain businesses or companies that just loved your idea...get back to reality now, it's all hearsay, where is the proof and can they back up what they are saying? A colorful brochure and a DVD or CD are not proof that they are going to make "YOU" a success. It's all basically marketing fluff.

The best way to keep them from scamming you is to have an outside firm, not Invent-Tech's staff, but a lawyer that will tell it like it is. They usually charge a good sum of money, which is why Invent-Tech's smooth talkin' sharks will take advantage knowing that you won't want to pay more than the $895 to get a patent search done, a sample of your idea made, your very own portfolio of your idea or whatever goodies they throw in. It changes from person to person, but I only speak from the experience of a family member who went through this process.

Shawn: They haven't done anything to me yet but I'm still waiting. I know my idea could sell if it's not already out there. And I don't trust their patent search.

Rigon: I hate to be so blunt, but if you have aleady given them your money then you might as well suck up and move on.

If they truly knew that your idea would sell, why do they need your money? They are basically going to present your idea, as they said, but not push it any further than that. They've already been paid for their services. If you don't hear anything from them any more that's because thier final step with you was a success and you are left with the hope of making it big. Do you recall when they said they don't make any promises of you making it big, they already knew you were not, but they still elevate your hopes by telling you that they got a very positive response from your idea from either they're staff or other companies or businesses.

There are lawyers who won't charge you knowing you have a 99.5% chance of winning a case as compared to the lawyer who says, you have a 99.5% chance of winning your case, BUT you will be required to put $5,000 down and if you win the case you will revceive 90% of the reward and I will get 10%, which one sounds logical.

Shawn: I wouldn't mind continuing with them as long as I can protect myself. If that's even possible.

Rigon: You're speaking after the fact Shawn. Honestly, the possibility of you getting your money back is null.

Shawn: Is it possible to have a Lawyer talk to them on my behalf or have I already signed that right away?

Rigon: Again, this is after the fact.

Shawn: I would really like to get in contact with someone that can really help (ex-employees, lawyers, ex...)

Rigon: Ironically, you will become that help you seek from others by sharing your experience with those who may come to sites like this one and give them a sense of just how devious this company is. Hopefully they can relate to what you have experienced and give them some insight while they're still in the early stages with Invent-Tech before giving up their savings, retirement, or childs college fund.

The people you should talk to are not the lawyers, ex-employees, or anyone in a professional field, it's the people that have been taken for their money. They are the ones who've been through it and suffered the loss. They can tell you now what they could have done different. They are the ones who know what was said to them on the phone before giving Invent-Tech the money they asked for.

Nothing is more valuable than the experience of these honest hard working americans who've endured a substantial financial loss. They unselfishly gave their money to a company in hopes to better their lives and possibly the lives of others. I hope that this company makes a paradigm shift in the minds of how their executives and employees are trained, not what is on paper. May God bless all those who are going through hardship because of their financial loss and may he open the eyes of those who are working in this company to stop the deception.
