On February 8th 2007 I attend the pre-sale workshop of
Invstools investor education, at that time I sat for 3 hours to hear about their training that was going to be taking place that coming weekend on February 16 and 17 , to win the confidants of the audience their ?no worry? promise was that if you sign that day you will have free access to review their online training and at the end of the first day of the training you are not happy you can cancel and your card? wont? be processed, I bought into the lie and believed them to the tune of thinking what do I have to lose?...,

when I got home I went on line to search for anyone having a bad experience dealing with them as a company and what I saw was a person complaining of how they have a practice of running your card anyway even when you cancel on time and how this game of run around and chase to get your money back was what seem to be there protocol,

getting back to my out come before the class was over I turn in my book and then the lady said I also needed to turn in the black bag that they gave me at the first sales presentation, you know the cheap cloth bag that was offered as a gift for attending, so I dump my personal items out and give her the bag and thought to my self how tacky that was. And 2 days later I see that they had ran my card already and did so prior to my even attending the first of the 2 days to evaluate,

so I call there main office to enquire the reason and they say that I would get a refund which did post on the 20th but 5 days later they took out 500.00 and then again on the 26th they took out 1000.00 and 500.00 and 499.00 specifically in those increments so I wake up to this and was on the phone for the rest of the day playing that game of chase them for my money,

I spoke to marshal beacon who started all of this , then his boss Gregg Davis, then amber and then Amy Luster who was in charge of making the refund but never called me back, all of them promising me a phone call before the day would end, today is march 8th and I am still missing $2000.00 from my account and on top of that 16 returned checks and overdrafts caused by all of this, when all they had to do was issue a credit and reverse the charges with there merchant company, I have a business it?s a simple thing to do,

they told me the lie that they had just changed to a new system and it will take them 5 days to make the adjustments, bull %^&* meanwhile I have to suffer the humiliation of the negatives that come from bouncing checks and the fees of 16 NSF x 35.00 = 560.00??and don?t mention having to close my account out,

when I read negative things about companies I try to still approach things with a open mind and give the benefit of the doubts that people make mistakes, I was seriously wrong in their case, don?t get me wrong
im a pretty smart guy, what did I miss? I followed the rules, I have all the proper documentations to show there was no reason for any of this to take place I only use the online class once and doing the time frame of testing ,

on the 19th when I called the first time they took money out I spoke with amber and she explain that there would be no problem and gave me a ticket number of 2552 to refer to the cancellation and that my money would be refund by the next day which It was until Mr. Marshal Beacon redid the whole thing again , but what it says to me is they knew all along that I didn?t want this and there was no misunderstanding here but just pure criminal when you take something without authorization,

Today is March 7, 2007 its been since the 28th of February that I have been told I would get my money back and every day I get the same story,? they will look into it???..this was my experience with them if you are trying to do business with a good company mmmm? You be the judge

I spent a lot of time on hold, 2 full hours one day and left numerous voice mails and most calls were not returned, what if I needed coaching they sure don?t answer on the 4th ring and that machine that answers and say it would put you in cue and call you back in order of your call and that you wont lose your place? .bull did that a few times and went the whole day and no one ever called me back.

They owe me $2560.00 maybe that?s how they get high returns from small investments ?this company should not be allowed to advertise on national television to bring in The poor and elderly that are trying to make there lives better and be told to mortgage there homes and trust them to teach them when they wont answer the phones

EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days.

If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 #, and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges.

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent!

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth.

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.

And good luck Let us know how you do!

Investools ripped me off too

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 17, 2007

First, I am really sorry to hear what Investools is doing to you. I went through a similar thing as you did. What I suggest is to email your cancellation requests and print a copy of your sent msg. You should also send them a certified letter, get signature confirmation, and make a copy of that letter too.

Eventhough you can claim an Unauthorized Charge with your credit card company, they can still charge you over and over again. This is what they did to me. I cancelled and had proof, filed my claim, and initially got my money back, but they they charged me again. They are crooks. They will say that you logged into their site once, so now you have to pay for the whole year and for the seminar too.

The other problem I had was that my credit card company, Capital One, was incredibly inept with the chargeback. I faxed in documents and they could never confirm receipt. I send it my documents, and they could not confirm those either. So hopefully you have a better credit card company to deal with.

I hope you get your money back; just collect all the proof you can. I don't know how Investools is scamming so many people and getting away with it, but soon, the truth about them will be revealed.
