My purpose in reporting Irina Barett's, unlawful, unmoral, selling practices. Is to help others not get burned as I did. Irina, is not a breeder and knows nothing of what she sells, this IMPORTER sells sick dogs of poor quality for high dollar, they are arriving with Kennel cough, not vaccination forgered papers, Skin & bones, Coccidia, exposed to parvo, sending them to buyers with NO thought of what will happen to the buyers beloved pets, & breeding stock. Result, death I lost one of my puppys due to Irina sending me a sick dog to breed, I wasnt told until after she had arrived....
Sadly this was not my only experience with Irina BArrett. I also purchased to dane puppies which arrived to me, skin & bones, skin infections, kennel cough, & coccidia. Her excuse was shipping. Vaccination records forged, dogs had to be held for 30 days. Due to illness. This terrible cycle must stop!! These dogs deserve better than to be shuffled around, uncared for so Irina can sell to higheset bidder.
We expereinced her ethcic & moral conduct first hand, when she forged documents, registered more with AKC than liter produced in breeding. She doesnt not breed color pure Dane as you should, which will result in problems, and incorrect color.
After my experiences I checked into Irina, which I wish I did prior. Aboveare some links, you will find very useful. Buyers speak of the horror stories with Irnia. I cant say she is an unethcial breeder as she doesnt breed, she imports! I can say,, she has poor moral ethics. unlawful actions, & will do anything to make a dollar.
Here are link s to very useful information,, I hope this help you not to go threw what i have with eurogreatdane **Irina Barrett*!!!!!!!!!!!

Misinformation or lies

I am readying to attend a county meeting regarding Canis Maximus Kennel and Irina Barrett at this moment. It is to be held in Warrenton, VA at 2pm today (Feb 7, 2012). Animal Control was contacted anonimously regarding Mrs. Barrett and her "kennel" Mrs. Barrett did not request an inspection by the county and is currently, due to multiple inspections by animal control resulting from the anonymous tip, seeking a kennel license in Fauquier County, VA. She did not seek this of her own volition. She was forced into it by Animal Control. To read the complete report filed regarding Mrs. Barrett see the following:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/canis-maximus/dog-breeders/broad-run-virginia-607c7.htm
I find this report more than disturbing. I lived in Broad Run, within 1/4 mile of Mrs. Barrett's home for 10 years. I drive by her home/kennel every day. I have seen dogs out in the yard literally a handful of times, and knowing she is a "breeder" this disturbed me no end. I have shown and bred dogs for many years, having only occassional litters due to the time, effort, cost and energy required to do so responsibly. Not to mention having good quality breeding stock. You read the report and make your own decision. Frankly, I am disgusted.

She is applying for a kennel license in court TODAY. That means she was running her business ILLEGALLY. Below is an investigation from Jan. 12th of this year.

Is that so?

Melissa Shively (she uses many names and keeps changing her kennel name, one is gandmgreatdanes@yahoo.com) was refused the registration on her dogs that were sold on co-ownership with me, Irina Barrett, after she failed to provide the full payment + interest and gave me puppies with a. hernias, b. worms, c. undescended testicles, d. social issues.
After it was discovered that she fraudulently registered numerous litters out of these dogs, it was reported to AKC. Since then numerous post with the same content surfaced on the Internet trying to ruin my reputation.
I was inspected by AKC around the same time AKC received a report regarding Mrs. Shively. I requested inspection by the county sheriff department and animal control. I currently have all necessary reports, permits and licenses without any complaints. To this day, Mrs. Shively failed to provide any substantial proof and documentation of any of her accusations. She also failed to mention her name. Since she is the only one complaining, it is pretty clear what the real identity of the person posting is and how untrue her posts are.
In return, some info regarding Mrs. Shively. Only cowards hide their names and only cowards live their lives based on lies.

I wish I would have posted a complaint about this “breeder-importer” a long time before now. Maybe then more buyers would have been able to go elsewhere for a healthier dog.
I also purchased a puppy from her who was extremely thin and congested, but she assured me that the puppy was fine. When I picked up the puppy from her, she had blamed the congestion on the flight over, and her thin small size on the “idea” that she wasn’t liking/or used to the food she was eating at her home. But my vet confirmed differently. The puppy had severe case of an upper repository infection, and coccidia. Which was then spread to our other dogs in our home.
I would not recommend this “breeder-importer” at all! I don’t feel she puts enough care into her animals!! And the more I read about her, it is clear I am NOT the only one with this SAME story!! I advise buyers to do more research than I did, in hopes of getting a better puppy! Because she will continue to sell as long as people continue to buy from her!!!
