So I called them back. Spoke to a man with a heavy accent, (India), maybe, saying there were three charges pending: Violation of federal taxation regulation, malicious altering of commercial instrument, theft by deception. When I dug into it further it was from tax year 2001. He said taxed were not paid on time and the check was not written correctly. They would have to verify my identify. I did not have the right to have a CPA assist me with handling this. I would need a criminal lawyer. Payment plan to payback would be over as of now if I would not cooperate.
