Island Drug Oak Harbor Washington

 On August 8, 2017 I bought a $100 MasterCard gift card from Island Drug pharmacy in Oak Harbor, WA. It was a birthday gift. One week after the birthday party (August 18, 2017), the recipient of the gift card told me the card did not work. I searched for the receipt and of course I couldn't find it. I went back to the pharmacy to have them check the card and they said they couldn't do anything without the receipt. I then called the gift card company, mygiftcardsite, AKA US Bank National Association.

The customer representative told me that the cashier did not properly activate the card. So what now? I'm out $100 because they failed to do their jobs. I've bought gift cards from this place before and this isn't the first time Island Drug cashiers have failed to activate a gift card properly. I can even show them my bank statement that shows I spent $100 there. This can't be it, they just took $100 from and that's it? Island Drug and US Bank National Assoc are rip offs. If you get a gift card from there make sure you do the cashiers job for them and verify it's been activated.
