My mother Marlis Shelton paid Island pools of Fredericksburg for a small inground pool to be installed. She paid in full before job was completed and Mr. Lipkin never returned to the job site to fix the problems that kept it from passing an inspection. The pool sits now unable to pass inspection and Mr. Lipkin will do nothing to right the situation. Mr. Lipkin preyed on a Older woman that just lost her husband a veteran of three wars, to cancer. My mother has a pool that she paid way too much for that cant be used.

In response to steves' complaint. The pool in question has been completed for quite some time. The final inspection is scheduled for 6/24/08. Her husband was still alive, completely coherent, and present when the contract was signed. In addition she had had several estimates including ours, so I would hardly say we preyed on an older woman who had just lost her husband. ( I'm not sure what being a veteran of three wars has to do with this.) This spring her pool was very dirty (we are not a pool cleaning service) but James, the installer, went out of his way to clean it for her. As an older lady, Ms. Shelton may have a hard time cleaning the pool as it is surrounded by quite a few trees. Perhaps Stevie could help her if he's not too busy writing letters. Not once did he ever call us with any sort of complaint.
