ITT Technical Institute Charges former student for further classes Cordova Tennessee

My experience with ITT has been tragic at best. I enrolled for classes at ITT in August 2006. I was registerd for part time for 2 classes. On the first night of class, the teacher informed the class that that was her first look at the class material. She also informed us that this was her first teaching experience. This certainly gave me no confidence that the class would get any better.

On the second night in my second class, the teacher seemed more prepared. That soon revealed itself to be a lie as well. Both instructors' were ill equipped to maintain control of the classes. Several students were loud and disruptive, but were never brought to order.

As the weeks went by, nothing got any better. As a matter of fact, in the third week of the first class I filed a complaint with the head of the department. The teacher had to dimiss us for a 30 minute break so that she could prepare for the class. Yes, she came in unprepared to teach yet again. We spent most of the class time watching some students play internet games.

After 5 weeks of this non-teaching practice, I had had ENOUGH! I QUIT attending classes and called the school to file a report as to WHY! It fell on deaf ears. As I called to speak to finance officers, I was passed from one to another never addressing my issue.

Just last week I received a call from the Loan Institution to be told about what I owed on my loans. I dropped out of ITT in October. But it seems that I owe on loans continunig into February of 2007. ITT had been accepting payment on my loans continuing after I had quit attending classes. When I called the school to address these payments, the finance officer I spoke to promply and flatly denied the accusations. I returned a call to the loan institution, and they confirmed their previous statement. They currently have me obligated for nearly $5000.00 for one quarter at ITT. I could have gone to Harvard.

I was determined to pay for the single quater of classes. Now when I see their adds on TV it makes me physically ill. I want to see justice brought to this institution for its arrogance.
