IX WEB HOSTING.COM is a scam! I had my account nearly 5 years and called up to remove a second account that I was no longer using. In turn they did not listen to what I said, and an account supervisor by the name of Amanda closed out my entire account that I had up and running nearly 5 years. If that was not bad enough they have the account web address read, Account SUSPEDED! Which makes it look like I'm a deadbeat and stopped or scammed them out of money.

I immediately called AMANDA and explained to her I never cancelled my account and she began to argue with me that I did and if I wanted it back I would have to pay all over again even though they had my money for 5 years! They also say they will not remove SUSPENDED! I tried to work it out and either have my account re-instated or just keep it closed as it is now but have them remove SUSPENDED until I get the domain name transferred to another hosting company, but AMANDA said no and was a complete and total B__CH! What do people get out of being this way?

I tried contacting the CEO Fathi Said, yes, Fathi Said, he will not return phone calls or e-mails! I did some research on the web and to no surprise found he's allegidly funneling money out of the country amongst other things so bad you can just google his name and read for yourself! If I save one person from this company I will be extatic, but hope to save thousands and pray to god he gets what he deserves!

P.S. They always had problems as my e-mail was down every other week anyway and they are overpriced compared to many out there!

IX Web Hosting Monthly Uptime is 96.34% - No money back

AUTHOR: Oscar Nogueira - (Brazil)

POSTED: Friday, February 17, 2012

Client of IX Web Hosting since January 2006. Always big outages up to more than 6 hours each. Sometimes I told them in my complaint tickets that I was freely monitored by Internet Seer. I didn't know that the monitorings were only one per hour. Coincidently I started to lose my visitors and Adsense money, progressively. Only a few months ago, after to lose about 70% of my visitants and earnings and to hear colleagues say me, many times, that my site was down, I investigated better.

I found out, by Pingdom monitoring, that my site had (and has yet) up to 40 daily outages, everyday, very regularly intervaled, programmed, like cron-jobs. You can see my Pingdom Public Stats page at:
http://stats.pingdom.com/1rg0ui62w52i/467650 - The outages are really programmed and have almost always less than 30 minutes. The IX people know that I only used free monitoring services, I told them this. Only in december I found out Pingdom that has monitored freely each minute for me and Pnopta idem, free for 60 days. The Ix did not know that I passed to be monitored minute by minute.

More than one time the answer for my outages complaints was: "upgrade to a VPS or Dedicated Plan". Very much expensive. Could a host down some of its clients with hidden cron-jobs scripts, to force them to spend more money? I don't know but the coincidences exist in my case. And reading dozen of complaints against IX Web Hosting in the Web, I admit this possibility.

A founder and CEO of a world monitoring leader company told me by e-mail some weeks ago:

"I looked through your account and did definitely see lots of outages.  They seem to be rather regularly spaced, which would suggest there's something else running on the server that hosts your site that is interfering.  If your current host is not responsive to investigating and correcting things, I would suggest moving your site to another host that is more involved..."

I had spent dozens of hours writing or chatting them, their responses are almost all useless, automatic, redundant. The people there are not friend of the truth because I told them the exact daily perios the outages occur and they said thsat did not see the outages. They have constant DNS downtimes. Pingdom does not catch them but Panopta yes. I have daily, weekly and monthly reports since December 2011.

I asked IX Web Hosting for a refund, for they already caused some thousands of dollars of prejudices in Adsense earnings, advertisings and credibility. They don't want to back nor a dollar. The only refund they agree is relative to the pro-rata of my advanced payment until May/2013.

After many complaints I saw they don't absolutly care. And their bad services and unstability, vulnerability, increase everyday. So I have written in my Twitters and site's guestbook about the 700 to more than 800 monthly outages, every month.

I have respected their TOS and my site is educational, with hundreds of useful stuff, for all ages.

I spent thousands of hours in my site. In 2006 I had almost 40,000 daily page views in my 200 or 300 pages, and my site had 5% in quality and variety relating to the same site today. Now thanks to this "hosting services" I have less than 5,000 page views, however if I had choose a reliable hosting I should have some 200,000 daily page views. In the contract don't they promise 99,9% guaranteed uptime?

Thank you in advance.

That is not true.

I respectfully disagree with the reviewer because I also have several accounts with this company and never ran into any problems over the course of about six years, now. I am very satisfied with their tech support, prices and the quality of their web hosting as total.

They, some times could be a little slow but they will solve your problem.

IX Webhosting Total A**holes...

AUTHOR: Leveltenhosting - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 22, 2008

I agree--I had an account with IX Webhosting. My account had zero traffic, and my pages were nearly empty taking only a few kilobytes of memory, yet they were already loading sluggishly. I purchased my account on a Wednesday and then by Friday I was already down!

I asked for a refund, and they did give one... BUT they charged me 20 usd for a "free domain". I asked for the refund on Friday, but it took over 1 month to get it, and I was very upset to find they charged me 20 usd to register the 'free' domain, and they would not allow me to refund it.

I want to say my experience confirms everything stated above... IX webhosting is a criminal outfit posing as a consumer service company.

If there's any doubt in your mind these guys are not complete duechebags, just think about the fact that they ask you to pay a year upfront... Their whole goal there is to get as much money as they can, as fast as they can then make it difficult to get a refund.

I find trustworthy good hosts DONT need or ask for large sums of money upfront, because they KNOW you're going to stay with their service.

IX Webhosting knows that unless you're a complete idiot, you're going to cancel, so they extort as much money as they can.

I'm going to be forced to file a chargeback dispute if I want any chance at getting a refund on my 'Free' (lie) domain.

I wasted at least 40 hours configuring my site for their server (wednesday through friday, long hours), only to find that these a**holes let my site go down after only hosting me a few days.

POSTED: Wednesday, June 04, 2008

I worked for this company.. well actually a subsidiary of the hosting company. They are shady as all get out. They screw up employee paychecks and then pass blame. The management at the 24/7 call center could give a rats behind about their customers. They are constantly hiring and firing people at the call center. I had a crash course training week and then was sent to the floor with a bunch of false info. Info to get the customers off the phone basically.

They claim to give people unlimited space but it is a bunch of b.s. If a customer takes up too much space they will basically find any little thing they can use against you and tell you that you violated the terms of service.. then they kick you off. Their mail servers are flooded to the max and constantly have a backup cue of email. So much spam goes through their servers that ISP's have blocked port 25 smtp against IXwebhosting. Half of the online chat help are Ukranians that barely speak English. I had a shady feeling as soon as I started working for this Ecommerce call center. It is located in Hopkinsville KY. Crappiest place I have ever worked. I feel it is good karma at this point for me to let others know that this company is really sketchy. If they can't treat their own employees with respect then don't expect them to treat the customers right.

All of their servers are completely flooded. Their IT guys are some foreign dudes that complain if other employees ask them questions or whatnot to fix customers issues. The guy who owns it is some foreigner .. i don't know man... Just really shady.

I am glad I don't work there.

Make sure to register your names with a reputable company like Godaddy and make sure to pay the extra money for a good hosting service. These guys will make up b.s. to get you off the phones.. Their servers are always on the fritz.. blah blah..

Run for the hills man.
