My Mother wanted new carpet installation in her home.  My brother and I suggested she use Empire Today.  Instead of asking us the phone numer she looked the company name up in the White Pages and saw Empire Carpet and Showers, thinking it was Empire Today.  She contacted John Segovia and made an appointment.

John sent Jonathan (the nephew) to my Mother's home.  My Mother picked out the carpet and also wanted wood floors in her closets.  My Mother wrote them a check for the full amount of $4830.00.  Installation was set up for Tuesday, September 10, 2013.  I called at noon to ask my Mother how it was going since I was out of town.  She told me they never showed up and did not call her.  I advise her to call them, and they told her the truck broke down.  I told her to call them back and see what time they would be showing up.  Again she called and this time the story was her carpet did not come in.

I spoke with her several times on Tuesday and told her to call them before 5pm to see when they were going to reschedule it.  Again the same BS.  She heard nothing from them on Wednesday.  On Thursday my brother stopped by and got their contact information.  He and his wife started calling and demanding a refund or the carpet be installed.  After several calls they spoke with April and she adivsed them to quit calling since she did not have time for this.

Later that day they spoke with John who said he was in Houston and did not have his check book with him, as he said he would write my mother a refund for the amount and mail it Frday.  We have never heard a word from them and I have called several times and they hang up on me.  Very professional. 

I have read several reports on these people and I am not scared of them putting a lien on my Mothers home.  These people are horrible people.  My Mother is a recent widow who is 80 yeard old.  She paid them in full.  I will go forward with anyone who will listen to me to get this business shut down and these people pay for their crimes.
