This JK Harris has ripped off my family for over 3,000 dollars, and did not help us with our finicial problems or our Tax problems with the IRS as promised. They made thing so much worse our income and bank accounts were levied.

We already paid for their helpin 2002 and now in 2006, they are asking for more money for IRS fees. They must be stopped, I have written them several letters telling them that they have really made our lives a living hell.

Respondents should re-read the OP

Nowhere in the OP did she say anything about credit or credit repair. JK Harris is NOT in the credit repair business, and this is NOT what the OP paid for.

JK Harris is in the "offer in compomise" business just like other scammers here on ROR like Roni Deutch and the like.

The fact is less than 1% of all IRS debt is settled via "offer in compromise" deals.

The IRS will tell you this outright.

It is always best to go in person to your nearest IRS office with any tax problem. Sit down face to face with someone and work out a payment plan.

The best way to stay out of trouble with the IRS is to pay your taxes!

The so-called trial/personal injury lawyers only exist as parasites, sucking the life out of the economy for their own benefit. The simple fact of the matter is that there is no way to 'repair' your credit besides meeting your obligations over time.
=============
JK Harris is not a personal injury law firm so your statement makes no sense. This woman's problem is with tax liability and not with credit repair

You have been victimized by a "law firm" that is among the bottom feeders of the legal profession, which in my opinion are the bottom feeders of society. The so-called trial/personal injury lawyers only exist as parasites, sucking the life out of the economy for their own benefit. The simple fact of the matter is that there is no way to "repair" your credit besides meeting your obligations over time. Anyone who says different is either an idiot or a scam artist looking to take what little money you have left.

Almost everybody runs into trouble at some point. The trick is to have the perseverance to work your way out of it. Bankruptcy is not the end of the world, you can come back.

Unfortunately bankruptcy won't save you from the IRS. They almost NEVER settle back taxes for less than what is owed. They might forgive partial interest and penalties in rare occurrences, but they will get the taxes that are owed, no matter what. If you happen to be dead, personal experience has taught me that they will try to get their pound of flesh from your surviving heirs, even if the taxes are more than the estate.
My advice is to find a good accountant to go over your records and try to determine how much you owe, be open and honest with the IRS agents, and try to work out a repayment plan that will help you get back on your feet.
Now if we had the Fair Tax all of this would be moot
