J K Harris JK Harris refuses to pay judgement awarded to disabled widow No. Charleston, South Carolina

I and my husband (now deceased) went to an "office" (2 little rooms) in New Port Richey FL. to consult with some from JK Harris about our tax problem (being audited).  The "consultant" pressured us to give them $950.00 to take over the case.  Since my husband at that time was just diagnosed with bladder cancer, we agreed.  The consultant assured us that she would work with the IRS to set up a plan and we would pay abouty $50.00 per month on the audited taxes.

I received a letter from someone that took over the case from So. Carolina and was assured that they would get in touch with the IRS.  Time went by and no one called me nor did IRS receive any calls.  By the time I called the IRS, I was told that extra penalties and interest had accumulated and that they would not expect any less than $150.00 per month.  My husband decided to cash in an IRA to pay for the extra taxes.  There was a math error on the tax form, and we were penalized for it.

After many calls, e-mails, etc. to JK Harris for our monies, we were always promised a refund, and was even given tentative dates for the check.

In the interim my husband died and I was placed on disability.  I went to small claims court and was awarded over $1000.00 plus 8% interest about 2 yrs. ago. 

I have not heard from them and my demand letter was ignored.  Please help - I am now living in CT.   I had to sell my home in FL. because I could not afford to keep it up and now live in a condo.  I have written to a few TV stations; no answer.
