this is a scam chris and iris both told me that i would not be selling anything i would be hired as a manager and that is not the case they want you to sell there cologne for them and you make zero to no money

WOW   I can't believe the Scentura creations thing is still going on  after almost 20 years...

They tried to recruit me to sell the fake perfume  at  25 or  26  dollars a bottle.    here is how this thing works

they place an add in the local news papers or they did back in 1993.

they usually say something like   Management trainee positions available  No exp necessary.  Must be 18 to apply.

you call the add they set up an appointment for you to come in and you interview  with a guy for a few mins  they ask you what your job skills are.    then  you come back and begin your expense paid training  within a day or two.     

once you're in  you are in a class room  with other guys and girls and they show videos about how much money you're going to make   selling this fake perfume and explain how its better than the original perfume.    Keep in mind im  going on  my exp with  this thing  from 1993  when I was 18....      

what they did next from what  I remember was  we went all day  door to door  trying to sell these bottles of perfume.    literally  go from town to town  door to door   gas stations  any type of business   just pick a town that has a down town area and  go in and sell to who ever you could con into buying the fake perfume.    

what they would do is  get people to split up and take different cars    so you were stuck... they would  have people trying to sell this perfume  16 hours a day ...    I ended up loosing 300 dollars in this thing   on one of their satellite road trips as they called it.   they claim its all expense paid.. Yeah  you pay the expense!  then  if you dont sell enough perfume   you're screwd.  

They ought to put that  scentura creations  out of business.

As far as your Mercedes goes, that is too, a bunch of BS. I attended your "2nd Interview" three different times collecting information for my own reports (funny how you never noticed). Apparently, you not only own a Mercedes, but three different models of BMW and a Dodge Viper.

I bet you are a wonderful person to be around.  Arrogant, barely literate, braggard.  I know for a fact you will read this, you just won't respond.  Do you like slapping your girlfriend around too, asswipe?  You can't even do simple addition and subtraction.  Your business was registered with the state on 1/1/2005, which is 5 years, not eight.  You are a tool and I really hope you get what you deserve, which is more negative publicity.

I read the report - YOU Sir (and I use the term lightly) are a con artist who got exposed!! No slander whatsoever - Grow up - stop trying to con people and get a REAL job!

1. Yes I have. If you come personally to my place of business I will show you my 1040 and my 1099 with scentura.. as long as your not with the media. ( like I said and I'll say it again, they twisted it and I'm in the process of getting a libel and slander law suit, we'll see where that goes.) I received from scentura alone last year $40,000 in profit sharing last year 2009. Thats just profit sharing from promoting other people (from training) into their offices.

2.You have the prices all wrong. Its .50 cents a bottle... hahaha J.K. ... You just look pathetic trying to get the numbers write. The news report said nothing of the numbers you spoke about, so stop acting like you do. You could only understand if you had to "pound the pavement", like some of them are, and I also did. I have shoes worn down till theres no sole left on them.

3. Once again you obviously don't understand business (shocked that you do run one). Maybe I can train you. I teach the overhead of the business in training. It is also explained in the interview. But we need to make me look like I spend 3 hours in an interview where we go over nothing but talking about how successful I am or Larry is. That segment of the interview is only 10 or 15 mins. of the 3 hours of explaining the position, position pay, pay in training, pay for managers, what they will learn in the process. Obviously you don't know anything about the fragrance industry, I guess we should keep it that way, more for other people. But you seem to be rationalizing something you know nothing about other than a 5 min segment that the media had to do to get ratings, so they make people look bad for a profit. More people watching means more $, media is downsizing they are getting desprite for stories, its understandable.

4. Facts... Yes i'll change my add. (I've been running that SAME add for 4 years "most" people including myself can make sense of it...but) I'm sorry I had no intension of wasting anybodies time. If they wasted their time.. Then I wasted mine. If they made no $... I made no money (you run a business you should know this, businesses dont make money looking at the product sitting on the shelfs, product has to move to make money). Most $ I make is from promoting people out of training. Not spending a week in training and quiting trust me I don't get more success from $25.00, most of that is the company's. The fact is I do have my own place. You can go to the Alexan leasing office and ask who's (and ONLY) name is on the lease... MINE!  fact 2: I was unaware of the tax laws in Colorado, I just treated it like California where you pay state and city tax together, honestly didn't know they were seperate, learned it. Its fixed and behind me now. 

5. I have copy's (in my name) of both of my cars titles in the same meeting room that was filmed. Come down to 5783 sheridan frontage rd. #204 arvada colorado, and see for yourself. Obviously your just a hater having to bring my mom into this.. how pathetic. Yes you were right about what I was going to say. Because you know your a hater. Feel free to hate on me. I work longer days than most people, I deserve my life style, and I am very thankful that I SOLD COLOGNE AND PERFUME IN THE STREETS FOR DOG POO MONEY FOR 90 DAYS TO GET A FREE (if I could put it in bold I would) BUSINESS and all I did was answer that same add 8 years ago.

SIDE NOTE: I find it funny that the comments people are putting on the 9news web site, saying "yeah I did something like that in the 80's" or "in 2001" or "It was in dallas" or somewhere else, it goes on and on and on... It goes to show people that stick with it will make money and progress (how did all these office just pop up out of thin air?...oh thats right people finish that training they were talking about and some don't and complain). People that don't stick to it complain and blame other people for there failures, I'll be there scape goat I don't mind. There are some people that don't stick it out, but still learned alot, and left with confidence, and some good times for a couple weeks. But that wouldn't make for a good news story. I know what your going to say "you pray on unemployed people blah blah" they can quit and walk out the door at anytime, some do, I understand its not for everybody. I don't force anybody to do it, but for the time I work with them I will give them all I got. The ones that stick it out do understand.

Well I'm pretty shocked you run a business. You've made alot of "bets" (in your words) what do I get? You know so much about me. Nothing about you. To tell you the truth it makes no differience in my life, and I don't care. I have nothing else to say I wont be back here again EVER (so anything you say I will never see). OK, Chris, you told a few little lies, and Jace Larson found out.  You also are advertising for a position that is not available.  I would bet a large sum of money that all of the following statements are true.

1.  You haven't made more than $30,000 in any year from Scentura.

2.  You buy knockoff bottles of perfume for about 1 or 2 dollars and try to get your sales people to sell them on the street for $10 each and if that doesn't work they can sell them for a smaller amount for a smaller commission. 

3.  The 25 management positions are under you in a multi level marketing type of scheme where you benefit, but are still 100% commission, and there is still no salary.  The dupe who falls for it ends up like you, desperate to lie to people to get a sales force to sell the perfume.  When they learn that they can't make the sales, they ruin their credit and reputation by leasing office space and signing up for utilities and other business necessities that can't be supported by selling $1 perfume bottles for $5.  The volume just isn't there to support the business expenses.

4.  Mr. Jace Larson did not slander you in any way at any time.  His report simply states the facts, which are not favorable to you.

5.  Not sure about the Mercedes, but I would bet it either isn't registered to you, or if you were able to pay for it with cash then Onyx Wholesale was most certainly not the source of the cash you used to pay for it.  My bet would be it belongs to your Mom.

I could say more, but I'll wait and see if your response makes any sense.  My guess is you will probably call me a name or say I work for 9News or just say I am a jealous hater.  I am none of those, I am a small business owner who operates above board.

You obviously work for a News company. I can tell. I also probably upset you guys now that you guys have a ripoff report about your employee and your company. I just thought I would give you a taste of your own medicine. But I got my say out along time ago, there is no need to recap.

If you dont work for a News company, you know WAY to much about what is going on, and the laws of the media.

It is very strange as to why you won't give the name of your business or even the type of business you are in. If you are really legitimate most people would think that you would happly post that information on a site like this because it won't be deleted or changed from what YOU wrote.  So there is no way to twist your words.  Also, as you seem to think the more posts the higher in the rankings you go. So wouldn't you just love to get your business name out there with a higher ranking. Where the people could read not only the complaint but your side of the story in your own words.

An investigative reporter is not going to waste their time on a business that has a single BBB complaint over an Exchange vs. Refund Issue.  Especially if you have that policy posted.  They may get a "tip" from something they read on the Internet but they are not going to make that the entire basis of a report. Most likely they found the original person who made the complaint, interviewed them. Saw that there was something there and wanted to get your side of the story.

As to your claim of Invasion of Privacy. If I was to take a guess they got your picture and/or video from one of two places.  From the Internet, which we all know is well known for it's privacy. The second is that when they came to your business they got your picture and video.  Which I would bet is in a public location where there is a lower expectation of privacy.

And I am sure that if they did this report the "We attempted to contact the owner and they denied all requests for an Interview" really has you coming off better than giving your side of the story.

Do you really think they will even put something positive? Really? You have that much faith in the media against a small business? Like I said earlier they make the consumer look like the victim and the supplier the bad guy. PERIOD. It happens all the time, the media just needs a store. I would also like to note, they used my picture and video recorded without my consent. Which is Invasion Of Privacy. But whatever, I'll deal with that when the times comes.

I'm in customer relations. Never ripped anybody off. The only complaint is with the BBB because its company policy not to give refunds, exchanges only. We have signed posted in the business, and on our brochures. Person didn't like that. Bang !complaint. I'm a pretty fair and reasonable person. Never lied stolen, cheated, or hurt anybody. I feel this is all very unfair, but what can I do other than put a complaint myself. But the media wont see it this way.

 Steve, first off where did you get the impression I think this is a legit research site?? I stated it was a site for filing consumer complaints and reporting business scams!! You talk about Mr. Larson twisting words are you not twisting mines! And yes, you could report anything on here about anybody, and I'm sure people do do that, case in point, but for the most part I would hope people use this forum for it's proper use.  I'm just curious and you don't have to answer what business are you in?

Well Thomas, if you think this is a legit web site for research, you obviously havn't done YOUR research. If you think the media isn't corrupt, then your sucked into the force fed BS like most people.

And no I havn't partaken in any "bad business practices". If that was the case I couldn't run a business, but my whole point of all this is:

A: You can't make everybody happy. Example ie: Not everbody likes Wal-Mart. See for yourself. They are mentions on this web site as well, but I doubt that will stop you from shopping there.

B: You can post what ever you want about anybody, on this "research" site, with out REAL proof, or "research". It wont be deleted. Ever. Not enless you pay for the Corporate Advocacy Program. Which is about $250 a month.. Last time I checked thats called "extortion". But whatever that obiviously plays no role here.

C: I'm getting a kick out of it.

D: I've been harassed from Jace Larson. This was the only way to get him to stop. It has worked so far.

Heck, I and millions of small businesses owners would love TV coverage for free advertisement.

I'm starting to think  it's probably with someone you screwed in a bad business deal who reported it on this forum to warn others about your bad business Practices???Whatever your deal is I don't think this is the proper forum to dish out your personal petty revenge because it appears to me that's what you trying to do. For me this a forum for people to report and warn others about bad and corrupt businesses so that people don't continue to get screwed by these shady characters and to hopefully put them out of business for good.

The news never reports anything right.  and they harrass people like they have nothting better to do.  You should be able to file harrasssment on them.  harrassment is illegal no matter who it comes from. 

Who cares what your business did or didnt do if you dont want to give an interveiw you dont have to.  That is what being in America is suppose to be all about.

Mr. Larson has got his reports from this silly web site. But it just goes to show, they will post anything on here, with no research, and people take it as the truth. I will get the publicity no matter what. If I say anything to the media (I see it all the time) they twist it to make the consumer look like the victim, and me the bad guy, (Like what fox news did to Obama during the elections, but he still over came, which is very inspiring). I love our country, what it stands for, and our freedom. But I think the people in charge (the government, media, reporters, journalist, government officials) are all not doing the job, somewhere alongs the lines forgot what this country stands for.

I've been straight edge (drug free, smoke free, alcohol free) for 16 years of my life. People told me I was bad for making a poison free life style. I almost got expelled from my high school for being proud of my poison free life style. They were scared because I was different and not wanting to do what a normal high school kids do. So what do people in charge do? Tell me I can't be the way I am. Then the media got involved with the whole straight edge thing.."its a violent movement", "its a gang","they will beat you up for smoking and drinking and cut an X in your back", now have I done any of those things...NOPE. So now that I am older and running a business that is different I see a pattern. Something that is so positive (like being drug free, which I feel is a good example to other people) is turned into something negitive by the Media, government, government officials. Samething, I feel my business is more positive than my poison free life style. What I've been able to do for myself, and other individuals has been the best thing for me and for the people I work with (I've made a positive impact in there lifes, that nobody else was able to do, not even there parents). Just a few people are scared of something different so the will hate, complain, and criticize... Fine. People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care.

 In the long run with the media, and government... I will never have my TRUE say. Because they are bullies. Just like the kids in high school that picked on me for being different. Thats what this post, and the slander about my company proves to me. They are all nothing but a bunch of bullies that are too scared to know the TRUTH. And if they do get confronted with the truth they will bend it to the way they like. I purged of everything I wanted to say.

The obvious question is why is an investigative reporter wanting to interview you about your business.  Ummm..perhaps someone had a complaint and he was trying to get your side of the story.  Perhaps you may not be doing something that is totally "above board".  After all if you were a perfect business with nothing to hide, I figure you would love the publicity.
