For the Refund Advance, it is stated upfront that it is an anticipation loan, with no interest, no fees, and a high approval rate (meaning not everyone gets it). It is very much disclosed to the public on their website and pamplets, 

The reason why they can not tell you the fee for the service is because each client they do can have different amounts depending on what you provide to them. For instance, 1 w2, filing single, no dependents with state return as well is normally $78 flat rate. Now if you include a Schedule C, the price for that might be $48, for another W2, might be $10 extra. It all depends on the form.

That is exactly why they can't tell you till the end how much it wil be, because they do not know till the end what documents you are showing them. Jackson Hewitt does have a fee estimator that you can do before you do the return, which will show you exactly how much it will be. 

Now I will have to agree with you, if they did not have pamplets (which they are suppose to have in the office) I can sort of see your point. Still at the same time, you have a choice not to do the return. If the whole thing was read to you, I would have to agree, something is not right. I know for instance when I worked at Jackson Hewitt, we had to show you, and read you the information, since you have to sign paperwork/electonical sign at the very end. 

I am lost though, who told you the wrong date when the IRS started processing funds? This year was January 19th as the offical first date. I don't know if that was intended for me? 

I also do not know how the card won't work, since the card is activated while you get your taxes done. As in, before you even finish filing your taxes.

Yes, I did understand what was told to me, and I think your really good at the smoke screens because the PREPARER reads it to you.  The card did not work, no fee's disclosed, you gave the wrong date about when the IRS started processing refunds....I really don't need to go on.  The Preparer himself said, "oh I'm sorry and yes it is our fault (Jackson Hewitt)"

I am sure there are fee's, and if what you are stating is correct then why not disclose that UPFRONT!  It was a scam plain and simple.  I will be contacting the BBB and the District Attorney's office maybe then you will disclose the "secret" information that I inquired about in the beginning.

If you read through or listen through the signing process, you would have noticed that there are only 2 ways to get the $750 advance. One being direct deposit the other being the American Express Serve card.  

The RAL of $750 or $600, has a flier at every office that shows that you do not receive the $750 at that time. (Honestly why would they hand you $750, when they aren't guaranteed you do not have College loans, child support, etc sucking up your entire refund?) The way that Jackson Hewitt seems to be finding approval rates is by doing a soft inquiry on your credit report/seeing how much of a refund you are about to recieve. Obviously if you had ever had a garnishment of a tax return, odds are you will not receive the $750 advance. Also the flier even states "0% Interest Loan, No Fees, High Apporval Rate."Clearly you did not think you would just be handed $750? Also you do not have to file with Jackson Hewitt if you do not think the fees are appropriate.
