Jancyn, has for many years been telling their schedulers that they do not want them working for other companies.  We are all aware of the employee vs. Independent Contractor debacle, but this takes it to a whole new level.  Jancyn has threatened their independant contractors that they must not work for other companies.  It is HIGHLY illegal to attempt to affect
the gainful employment of an IC, in fact, it's a complete mis-classification of an IC to do so and in punishable by heavy fines
and back payments to the IRS for employment taxes.  For years it has been known that Jancyn forces their mystery shoppers and schedulers to work only for them, threatening to fire them if they do not comply.  It has just come to my attention that Jancyn is again telling their independant contractors that they may not work for other mystery shopping companies.  The
biggest problem with this is that pursuant to the fair labor act and many laws in the state of California, it is highly illegal to hire someone under the pretense of an independent contractor, while trying to  influence their rights to gain income.  So Jancyn must either change all of their miss-classification of independent contractors to employees, or they must stop attempting to control the gainful income of  their IC's.  This holds true for mystery shoppers, schedulers, and all other people they illegally employ under the guise of an IC when they are truly employees.
