Jane Content Julie Welch Sells work of freelance writers but does not pay bills Dallas, Texas

Jane Content runs ads on Elance for free lance writers to write articles.  This company then sells the articles to other Elance clients at a mark up.  The problem is that they never pay the original author of the article.  Work I completed in June was not paid for.  In July, they responded to my requests on Elance and said I needed to submit an invoice which I did.  Again, no responses from them.  Then they said the invoice would be paid on their next "payroll" cycle which was August 1.  Again no payment, no responses.  I filed a dispute with Elance and they responded that they were winding down their company and would pay when they had the money but their profile showed that the had won projects as recently as 2 days prior to the date of their response.  This company advertises all over the Internet for freelancers.  Beware!  Freelancers, you will not get paid.  Buyers--by not paying the people that created your content Jane Content is in default of their own contract which means that they do NOT own the copyright on the material that they are selling you.  You stand a huge risk of receiving take down notices or worse for the content you purchased.  Avoid this dishonest company!
