Jan Van Der Bend who owns the company ( Jan's insane interiors )

Lynwood Washington

He will ask for your money upfront 1/2 of what the job amount is. And will not do the job or if he were to do it this would be done wrong.

I called Jon and spoke a few times on the phone before we net.

Jan came to our location ( it's a classic convertible so its in our garage)

I had wanted a new top put on my car it's a scissor tip this top takes arond 13 hours to be put on and I had already bought a new top, seal, pads, well liner, cables and clamps. Also, a new header bow. Note: this was not cheap.

My visors needed binding on the edge other than that they were original and in great condition

Jan replied he had 25 yrs experience !!! And that he has done at least a 100 of these tops. Jan was  paid 715.00 half of what this job was to be. My quote was $1430.00 I did need a new rain gutter piece this was an additional cost of 100.00

So, now I have paid Jan van der bend $815.00 Cash

****

During his 1st day e was confused and not sure what to do after he left I noticed that he had been drinjking on the job. He also had open sores on his face. A few weeks past he came out once again still not sure spend an hour going in circles than he came up to us stating he has a friend that could do the work. His friend came wit him on his next trip and that's when I decided to keep him on board. His friend knew what to do. Finally something was going to ge tdone. The pads were in place. I got a txt from Jan saying now he is in business and a new top will be place on my car. 2 weeks went by and Jan showed up out of the blue no phone call that he was coming out.

Note: He came out alone

No Buddy to help him as I had been told

No rain gutter piece

He brought in my visors he took them apart and redid them poorly, no binding, uneven stitching, threads were hanging down. Jan ruined my visors, which is going to cost me an additional 179.00 My heart sank when I saw this. My new top that had been placed on the top of the car was now thrown in a ball in the back seat. I was told he showed up with a half galllon of Vodka.

We, made an excuse had him leave to gigure out what to do.

SO, I am out of a thousand dollars for work to be done I asked for my depoit back and he will not budge

In fact he say's I owe him when he cant even do the job... He does not have the experience he claim to have.

My advise is to stay away and go someplace else...
