Myself and my fiance went to Jared to purchase an engagement/wedding ring. Found a ring i liked, asked what grade the diamonds were, the saleswoman said " all of our diamonds are kept to a high standard, we dont grade them". Stupidest move we ever made, we bought the ring in June- it took a few weeks to be sized and we got married in september, a few weeks after getting married i saw the diamonds in bright sunlight and the bigger middle one looked smashed..

went back to Jared and showed it to them, they said it was a NATURAL BLEMISH!!! why was i not told about this when purchasing it? they had no answer for that one. i said i wanted a refund because all they were willing to do was replace the bad diamond with another one of the same quality, why would anyone want that? they said absolutely no refund because the 30 days were up, they werent even nice about it- completely ignoring the fact that the person who sold us the ring was not forthcoming about the diamond flaws.

i then called customer service and spoke to a horrible man who basically said they would do nothing except replace it with another ring with the same quality stone- and after that they were done. I am broken hearted, i hate my ring and wearing it just reminds me how horrible they were to me. NEVER AGAIN. I would tell anybody i care about to stay far away from Jared Jewelers, they sell garbage and once they get your money they have no more interest in you or any problems you may have.

Are you sure you went to Jared

Jared carries both Graded and Non-Graded Diamonds.  Of course the Non-Graded ones are going to be cheaper.  So I wonder if it is a case of they didn't have any "Graded" Diamonds, or they didn't have any in your price range.

As for the sizing, they do that In-House.  So at most it should have taken you a couple of days..not weeks.

they said it was a NATURAL BLEMISH!!! why was i not told about this when purchasing it?

- Why didn't you look at the diamond when you bought it.  It seems that you know enough to ask about grading.  So why didn't you ask to see it in the light or under a magnifying glass BEFORE you bought it?

i then called customer service and spoke to a horrible man who basically said they would do nothing except replace it with another ring with the same quality stone
- Again that is not their policy.  It seems that they were willing to exchange it even though it was past the time.  But they also have a trade-in program.  I believe you have to upgrade it to an item that is at least double in price but perhaps that would happen because you probably want a graded diamond which is going to be higher anyways.

I wonder what size diamond you got and what you paid for it.

And NO I do not work for them, now or at anytime.  But I have shopped their before and am aware of what they carry.
