sells GE outlet that set the house on fire! then drives foreign screw thru there own product not to pay for your burned up and smokes out room. Do not do business with this company or you will have a burned down house. There outlets have a defective in them. They do not drop the braker instead they set your house on fire in the middle of the night. GE aka Jasco Products Company, LLC refuse to repair or pay for damages once your house is burned down. This company can careless about your property or safety as long as they make a buck who cares about your burn down house. do business at your own risk! I have to take everything out of my room and gut the whole thing replace the bed and all due to fire and smoke damages. at an expense of $2,000 .

This damage could also be caused by loose connection(s) on the outlet. This is what that looks like and it can be aggravated if a heavy load is imposed (high amps) on the outlet.
I've seen it before and had to rework the outlets (installed by an electrician) in my own house.
The breaker not blowing is also a clue that it did NOT see a short and trip.
Glad you didn't lose your house.
