Halsted Communications, Ltd. He was VERY VERY RUDE AND told me that they will not complete the service and to leave them alone. They have my money and did not perform service at all. When I told him I will be contacting the BBB he said go ahead they are a joke and told me to go to hell and hung up. CONSUMERS BEAWARE

As you can see, this man never provided any proof, only made blind statements against me and the company I work for. I think it's quite obvious who's telling the truth here, and who's afraid to get sued because they got caught in a lie.

FINAL RESPONSE? Let's hope so for your sake, Tom. Bigger person? A likely story. I still might take this guy to court, just because it will teach him (and his company) a lesson about lying, defrauding, and HARASSING customers. How does bankruptcy sound, Tom? Maybe then you'll stop these wild shenanigans against former customers. If this guy was telling the truth, he would have no problem going to court over it and proving it. But as you can see from his response, that is obviously not the case.

I've provided extensive proof against you Tom, and all you can do is come back and tell more fictitious tales with absolutely no proof to back it up. Face it Tom, you got caught.

This guy is insane. You can tell how he is talking. I talked to him 3 years ago and made threats to take him to court????? Where in the world is this guy coming from??? He keeps talking about a company that I never even heard of. Looked up the company he keeps complaining about and e-mailed them this report. There response was that they did deal with this person over 3 years ago and have no comment on this matter.

Seems they really werent surprised by his comments and told me since I got my money back to no longer pursue a person of his kind and will only result in false lies and more time lost. He keeps wanting proof and making threats at me. I will not waste anymore time on this guy or company.What makes me laugh is he want a public apology??? The way he treated me the customer and his company NO WAY!!! He can continue to state his threats and lies as I am the bigger person and will no longer reply.

Okay post the BBB report against me that says I refused comment then. Once again, you can't, because you've fabricated this whole story.

I'll tell you what, you threatened me 3 years ago with a lawsuit, I'll return the favor. Whether or not you work for 1LAP2GO or not, the things you are saying about me are considered libel unless you can prove them. So unless you provide proof, any more false statements made by you against me will be looked into by my lawyers for a personal lawsuit against you. I will not stand for defamation of character against me, and if you continue I will have no choice but to pursue legal action.

I am offering you one opportunity now to offer a public apology in accordance with the libel law. If you do not, I can proceed with the lawsuit.

Halsted Communications/ Repair call = NO SHOW

To Whom it may concern (Halsted Communications)

My name is Noemi Fernandez and I have a customer of DIRECTV for 4 yrs now. Recently in September I started to experience problems with my system. I understand that DIRECTV contracts Halsted comm to subcontract other companies to do repair, installation, etc.. Halstead Communications has done nothing but inconvenience me since the first appt was made for a visit in October to look at my system. Within a matter of 4 wks I had 4 gentlemen come to my home.

First let me start out by saying that I live on a third floor dwelling and the dish is located outside my living room window to the left. The first tech that came to my home stated that the ladder he had was not sufficient because he could not reach the dish even though it was dictated from DIRECTV that a 40 foot ladder would be needed to reach the dish from the ground. A week later a second tech came and stated that it was the wiring because it was not grounded. He informed me that he was going to his truck to call his supervisor and he would come back up to let me know how to proceed. Well, the tech never came back up, instead he called me from his cell phone and told me that his supervisor told him "not to touch it or we would own it." My impression was that he did not want to make an attempt seeing where the dish was located and the fact that it may take more than 10 minutes to diagnose.

The third tech came out several days later, never got close to the dish, did not come with a 40ft ladder but diagnosed it as a LNB issue. forth tech came out the same day which I may add Halsted comm never notified me that they were coming instead called me an hour after the tech left to tell me that the service call was being canceled. The 4th and final tech that day did a walk of the grounds, got in his truck and left... That was 4 techs in several weeks and the most irritating thing out of it all was that I took time off of work on my dime to accommodate the techs on 4 separate occasions and NOT ONE TECH TOUCHED THE DISH OR SO MUCH AS GOT CLOSE TO IT, but all had a different diagnosis for the problem...

I am sending this e-mail in an attempt to reach some resolution since I have not been able to get any assistance from customer service staff who have you on hold longer that the conversation about my problem. For instance today 1/20/04 I had a appt for a tech to come out between 1pm and 5pm. I took again 1/2 day of work to be home when they arrived. no one showed up, so I called DIRECTV. They gave me the local office # to call. 1st call made @ 4:50pm was on hold until 5:21pm was on the phone with someone named Mike who put me on hold to call the tech and disconnected me.

Called back @ 5:22pm was # 17 on hold-Jennifer picked up at 5:43pm who also attempted to call the tech, except she left me on hold for 1/2 hour ( 6:21pm) before she came back to tell me that "the tech had problems with his cellphone and they could not get a clear connection on his phone." I am not only disgusted by Halstead's protocol on handling easy situations, but I was denied the name of a manager blatant by this Jennifer person. I have called numerous times to Halsted for help in the last 4 months that there should be some record of my calls, if not DIRECTV has plenty... I again ask for assistance in repairing the extremely inconvenient situation that the company has put me in for the last several months. I am currently in contact with the BBB in CT. I would rather not take that step, but the aggravation that I have been put through since October should not go unnoticed.

Instead of this company giving me my money back and atleast given a written appolgy I get no resolve. I had to go to my credit card company and do a chargeback which I did win. The company did not even respond to the report which proves there guilt.

I also filed a report with the BBB and they did not respond to them either. They do indeed serve the NJ/NY area. As fas as this Jason Drolet Halsted Communications, Ltd stating that my name is Eric? from some company named one lap two go is just plain stupid. Seems from what i did read they had the pleasure of dealing with this poor human also. I have never heard of this company.

Bottom line If you are a consumer DO NOT get burned from this company and just plain go with another form of TV service and save your self the problems and lies form this company and person. I am happy now that I got my money back from the FRAUD company Jason Drolet Halsted Communications, Ltd and all consumers have been warned!

This report was brought to my attention by our Complaint Management Department. My name is Jason Drolet, and I do indeed work for Halsted Communications; however, I have not spoken to an actual customer in over 4 years.

I think you'll find the following information both comical and disgusting at the same time.

Through a little research I've found that this man, TOM from OXFORD NEW JERSEY, works for the same company who I filed a rip off report against several years ago for his comic book and action figure online retail company, 1LAP2GO aka ComicVerse. If you look up 1LAP2GO in the search function here on RipOffReport.com, you'll find two rip off reports - one filed by me and one filed by another woman. The man who wrote the rebuttal to my rip off report was named Eric. The man who wrote the rebuttal for the other woman's report is none other than TOM from OXFORD NEW JERSEY. And that rebuttal was filed THE SAME DAY as this rip off report was filed.

This man TOM is obviously using the emails I sent his company several years ago, combined with information he no doubt found online about the company I work for, to construct this completely bogus rip off report. Not only have I never spoken with this TOM, but like I said previously, I have not talked to a customer in over 4 years. My job is purely data management. Not only that, but my job title has changed several times since I was the Executive Assistant to The President, which also shows how outdated this TOM's information is.

So TOM, I suggest you just accept the fact that your company 1LAP2GO.COM has horrible customer service, and stop trying to retaliate against old customers. The only thing you are serving to do is destroy your own company's reputation. Every time you post more childish rebuttals (and now fake rip-off reports), I respond by slandering your company's name even more so, presenting more evidence against your company, and increasing your negative publicity on the internet.

So please continue! I enjoy the opportunity to tell people about how terrible your company is. I'm not worried about you slandering the company I work for. I could care less really, as Halsted Communications has a long record of good business and needs no defense. Halsted Communications doesn't even cover the New Jersey area, how could you have an account with us? Your claims are without merit and empty. Where's your proof? How about you submit a Service Order from us and prove it. Every customer gets one with their DirecTV install, even if the install does not get completed. Scan it and upload it onto a free image sharing site and provide a link here for all to see. You can't - because you've never done business with us!

Your company 1LAP2GO is a fraud, and so are you. Give it up Tom AND Eric. And grow up. Do you really want me to copy and paste all the information from the other reports into this one to increase your negative publicity and further prove your ignorance?

I must say though that I am excited to see that my rip off report against your company several years ago is still having an effect on your company today. That means it worked! Hooray for freedom of speech and consumer awareness.

If you cannot get a credit card reversal maybe it is small claims court time?

Why do you need/want satellite TV? The conventional TV programming is basically as worthless as it was 20 to 30 years ago & the movies are oldy-moldy that you can often buy at Sams/Cosco for $7 or rent for $1 to $3. Nexflix is $6 a month for 2 movies at a time. You have to rent a LOT of movies to spend $40 to $60 a month.
