Jay and Sons Yard Cleaning Josh is owner Scammer "Land Clearer" No Tools of the trade even a rake! ADDS garbage, piles of leaves, headache, much more work for you Schenectady New York

 I bought a Groupon for land clearing and got Josh a real live con artist. The first tip off was that his business in not identified in his contact number and the voice mail seems like his personal one.

He doesn't respond to phone calls and even when using text messaging there are very long gaps with his reponse time.

When he didnt arrive at the scheduled time, I contacted him at least 4 times before getting a response. He indicated that he had texted me to change the appointment time the evening before but the message was not delivered. 

I agreed to the new time because I needed to have this job completed to ready the lawn for professional pictures before putting my house on the market. 2 hours passed and I get no answer to phone calls or texts asking if he is indeed going to show up. Finally he calls to tell me he is at a street with the same name as mine in Albany!! I live at most 10 minutes from Albany and yet he showed up 2 hours later.

 So there he is in a small sedan!! He has no lawnmover, no rakes, no work gloves, just nothing at all except himself smoking away on his Newport cigarettes. We discussed the job and I had that sinking feeling you get when your worried things are somehow just not right. 

 If I hadnt already paid for the Groupon and was less trusting and didnt need the work done immediately I would have simply turned and locked my door.

I gave him $25 for mulch which he did get and bring back. He did minimal raking and left it ALL in piles in the lawn. He used the mulch spreading it too thinly and didn't weed the beds ahead of time.

He did make sure to leave his cigarette butts all over the lawn though as well as personal garbage, wrappers and stuff.

Then instead of using the automatic garage door remote after I told him the garage door had no key, he STILL went ahead and turned it to lock. So now there we are with no rake lawnmover etc. Around this time he also claimed to have lost his car keys. I helped him look all over the lawn while I waited for my boyfriend to arrive to manage how to unlock the garage and to deal with Josh, who was beginning to make me feel very nervous. My boyfriend ended up having to break the garage door window and fix it himself after having to make a trip to

Tru Value. Josh did nothing to help. He didnt apologize or offer to go to Tru Valu or to pay for the replacement glass. NO NO he was just worried about his car keys. My this time he had his father in law drive over with yes its true a metal detector!!!! When I went inside to use the bathroom and my boyfriend was looking around the back yard to see if he had done anywork, well

Josh and his father in law if thats who he even was just took off!!!! and I dont need to tell you that Josh didnt answer his phone.

What makes this even more sickening is that because I am moving and he has 3 kids I gave him all of the toys that I was going to sell in a yard sale for them. 

So thats the kind of integrity this guy has. He takes from you and you give to him.
