My brother & I traded in a camper trailer & a motor home our father had left us when he died on a brand new Jayco197 camper trailer along with size able cash difference. On the first outing there was no real problems. My wife & I took the camper out several weeks later when it rained rather hard. The area around the roof mounted air conditioner leaked in a steady stream. We cough as much water as we could in a large cooler. The 92 quart cooler was more than half full.
When we returned home we called Triangle RV in Frederick Md and made arrangements to drop it off for them to check it out. The floor had already started to warp, the laminate on the dinning table was coming apart, the cushions for the dinning seats were wet, the wood trim was stained. Triangle RV said they would call us next week. They did not. We went back to them a week later and told the A/C bolts were loose from the factory. They were working with Jayco to replace the flooring & table, etc.
My brother and I advised them this was not acceptable. We bought a new camper not a re-conditioned one and we either want a new camper or a full refund.
It has now been over 2 months, summer is over, our trailer is still at Triangle RV just setting there. We have made several phone calls, have been promised they would get back to us which never happened and when my brother contacted the Jayco company he was pretty much told it is Triangle RVs problem to handle.
We are at the end of our rope. What can we do to either get another camper just like it or get a refund ?  I afraid to go in much less sleep in that camper again for fear of the mold which must be in the walls, floor & ceiling  The camper was bought in early spring the leak was discovered in mid July.

The warranty does not allow for buy back.

The water damage you think you have could be repaired, simply, efectively and with out any risk of mould or rot.

When the dealer removes the flooring to repair it he will allow the floor plywood to dry and ensure that it as solid as new before re-installing the floor covering. A good shop will do this so well no one will ever know it was repaired. Ask to se the moisture readings of the sub floor to insure this. This also applies to any water damage suffered by the cabinetry.

The roof may have been wet where the water came in, the dealer should remove the iner portion of the ac and insure any wood or paneling has dried correctly.

The table top will need to be replaced. Order, instal, done.

At this point to the dealer you are the problem, the trailer was sold to you with a "Limited Warranty". Your rights and ability to get this trailer repaired or replaced are detailed in your "Owners Manual". You need to read this.

In my opinion you are completely the author of your own disaster from the instant you decided they would replace the unit in defiance of the printed warranty.

My Opinion: If you decide to file a Law Suit be prepared to have to Lawyer shop until you find one who will take your money to loose.
