Contracted with Jaydee Enterprises, Inc. dba "Slick" to haul a shipment from Long Beach, CA to St. Catharines, ON. They were to be paid $1000. They were supposed to pick up on 7/29/16 and deliver on 8/4/16.
On the delivery date we were informed that they hadn't even left CA as they "couldn't find any other freight" to go along with the freight we had contracted them to haul. As a courtesy, we offered to pay them $5500 to haul the freight dedicated in order to compensate them for the mileage and meet the delivery deadline.
Once they had that in writing, they changed the payment terms and demanded to be paid up front. We offered to then wire them the funds and they insisted that we use a Comcheck system to pay them. We weren't set up with Comcheck so they back-doored us and went directly to our customer and made him pay them upfront before their truck ever arrived for delivery.
As a result, we lost out on any profit from the project. This was completely unprofessional and total blackmail on their part.

Before posting anything, please get your facts straight.
First of all the $1,000.00 was to go from Califorina to St. Catherines, which was LTL and then you contacted us and requested that we go direct with no other shippments on our truck and you were going to pay $5,000.00 for a direct shipment. This arrangement was made with the owner of your company (ACTION HEAVY HAUL). When we asked for a revised confirmation your company sent over a confirmation for $1,000.00. That was not the arrangement as you wanted this freight in 3 days and not the ltl rate for 7 days.
Therefore before posting something about companies that do work for you, please get your facts straight and stop ripping off carriers who work for you.
