Jbc & Associates "Mr.Conner" Jbc& Associates illegitmate claims for check recovery!!! Bloomfield New Jersey

Jbc & Associates contacted Jan 13, 2004 inregards to a check that had been written in 1996 to a retail store that went out of business that same year. There is a claim that I owe $257. on a $73. returned check. If this company is no longer in business who are the funds being alloted to? I in turn ask JBC to send me a statment in writing for the debt the I supposedly owe, I am told that they could not do this but when the debt is paid they will send my check paid if full.

I am told this will go on my credit and they will file against me in the court of law because I have committed a fraud! Jbc cannot place something on anyones credit report that is past the Statue Of Limitations and I will glady go to court against them for Violating the Fair debt reporting act and the debt collection practices act. I have as well filed a complaint with the State Attorney General and from what the SAG has told me that my complaint is valid because Jbc
is in violation of their practices.
