On 12/20/07 I placed an order for some Christmas items via the www.jcpenney.com website. My order is included below:

As you will see there was no discount given to me for joining an affiliate of JC Penney by the way.

In speaking with Deidra on today, she explained to me that "My Family Reward is a program that is offered to JC Penney's online customers. As an incentive to sign up you would have gotten an extra $10.00 off and you get several discounts for this program. I explained to Deidra that I never signed up for this and am not interested. Also explaine to her that I have previously called to get this payment stopped from my account and it is still happening.

Deidra placed me on hold and contacted the customer service department of their affiliate. I spoke with a Lonnia the first time. She explained that she locate my account and would refund me three months. I explained to her that I called them on April 5th and spoke with Jennifer at 10:47AM Central time and was supposed to had been refunded then and this was also supposed to be stopped. Lonnia stated that they have the ability to review recorded calls. I requested that this happens. Deidra interjected and asked if she could be disconnected from the call. Lonnia told her yes and we all were disconnected.

When Deidra called back and attempted to connect me again with the company, I spoke with Candy and she wanted to discuss why I wanted to end the service and attempted to sale me some accidental death/disability insurance. I then explained her that I didn't want any of ther products. I only want this to stop and my money for he past 8 months to be refunded. Candy stated that she could refund 1 month. I asked her about the three month policy that Lonnia had previously stated. Candy put me on hold and when she returned stated that she could only offer me two months refund.

I then informed them that I will be sending a complaint to the attorney generals office for further investigation.

When researching online you will find many consumer complaints about his with JCPenney. Several people are not signing up for this but get enrolled into this program after placing an order online. Some people go months before realizing that this is happening. Also they claim to send some enrollment papers. I never received them. They then claimed that I would have gotten it via email vs USmail. "It will either go in your inbox or spam mail". Now I am not sure what others do but I don't check spam mail folder. I simply delete.

I have notified the Texas Attorney General's office to see if they can assist this matter especially since the affiliate is located in Texas.

Please assistme and others with getting this issue resolved.

I too have bogus charges on my account they refuse to provide any proof I authorized and am fighting with JCP and a collection agency in regards to this illegal activity
