I purchased JC Penney's brand "jcp home" linen-look vinyl vertical blinds thinking I was getting a killer deal. They SAY they normally cost $107, and they were on sale for $53. When I received the blinds they were severely damaged and included no hardware whatsoever - no screws, mounting pieces, etc. There was no way to hang them even if they hadn't been bent, dented, and just total junk period.

I have tried to write a review on jcp.com to let other consumer's know about the poor quality and likelihood of damage during shipping so no one else has to experience the disappointment and hassel of returning this huge, bulky, awkward, heavy item to a store that I - at 6 months pregnant - just had to endure. And jcp REJECTED my review both times! There was no failure to follow their guidelines... I didn't say anthing I "shouldn't have..." they just simply don't want people to know the truth about their product! What a scam!

Your point is wrong...

I went to the JCP site, specifically Window Coverings and Blinds.  Do you know what I saw...go ahead take a guess.  No..Give Up..Well I saw several 1 Star and even a couple no star reviews.  Ummm...well how can that be after all according to you they don't post any.  Perhaps(and I know this is a shocker) your review truly violated their policy.  Of course it comes down to one other factor.  It is their site and they can accept or deny any post they want,  if you want carte blanche then create your own site and make up your own rules.

Next, by posting your "review" about how bad the items were without giving JCP a chance to fix the issue is unfair to JCP..wouldn't you say?  What if the shipping issue was caused by the shipper?  You did NOT give them even a chance to correct it.  I'm not saying JCP is right, just that unless you are a perfect human and have never made a single mistake you are in the wrong.

Let me give you a more real world example.  Say you had a lunch meeting with a friend, and you had a flat tire and didn't show up or have a chance to call.  Now, let's say instead of your friend calling you to find out what happened they immmediatly go to your Facebook page and blast how horrible of a person you are for missing the lunch and not even calling.  They then go further and if you try to correct them they "call you out" on Facebook saying you are lying about the flat tire.

What would you do?  Would you just let the post stand?  Would you get into a I said/you said situation for the entire world to see?  Or would you be very upset that she would post something like that and just delete it because it wasn't the truth.

the point is not posting a negative customer review

As I said in my report, I returned them. At 6 months pregnant no less. It is a hassle, but that is not the point. The blinds being junk is not even the point. The POINT is JC Penney will not let a negative (ACCURATELY negative) customer review be posted to their site.

Question..

What did JCP say when you called them up asking for them to replace the damaged blinds? I mean you did attempt to call them and didn't just post a review without giving them a chance to correct the issue now did you?
