I made an appointment for partial/blonde/foil/highlights for (Fri Dec 7). I needed them to brighten my face for the annual Christmas Ball in San Antonio I attend. The Master stylist Lisa did not sit and go over the color and color history that I was filling in on the card that the receptionist gave me. She used three containers of bleach mixture on my head. As she worked she asked if I had colored before, I said yes a permanent Mocha color 4 weeks ago from Sally's. She foiled the left half of my head then the right half, while speaking to the receptionist and I about her men troubles. Lisa seemed to be out of it, a little spacey and frankly I was worried about my hair.

After she dried my hair I told Lisa I did not want that much blonde and to please put some brown low lights in and toner to tone it down. My hair was screaming with multiple colors. Lisa rushed me out of her chair even after another stylist recommended to Lisa in front of me to put a few foils of brown to even the color out, especially the large patch on the back of my head.

I came back the next day (Sat Dec 8) and Isabel was the next Master Stylist to work on me. She noted aloud the ugly mistakes Lisa made. Large chunks of blonde, uneven coloring, frizzy overdeveloped/processed strands, and full foil not partial. She also informed me that the manager Penny said my hair looked screwed up. Isabel then refoiled me, and toned me, and dried me. She asked me to come back and get a free deep conditioning treatment on the following Tuesday at 7pm.

At the Christmas Party in San Antonio later that same day I was getting ready and fretting about my hair. The entire head had a mute look, and the platinum blonde parts had a blue haze to them. I called unsatisfied with my hair to the manager Penny Morgan and she offered a repair or refund.

Sunday evening I went by the salon and got a refund for the first foil highlights. So far I had not washed my hair at all, since Friday.

I went in Tuesday night at 7 (Dec 11) with unwashed, untouched hair to get my deep conditioning treatment. I mentioned my unhappiness with the blue tint to Isabel and she said she wanted to strip/tone it down and it will be good for my hair. By this time my face and eyes are very sensitive from all the chemical exposure and processing, but I let her finish up I asked Isabel to tell me if the blue was gone. She said she had been working since 11am that day and she admitted she couldn't see this blue tint I was talking about under the light in the sink area. I was surprised to hear this from her because I called the receptionist that day at noon and got Isabel's schedule, which was 1-close. I would like an explanation for this lie. When we fininshed rinsing the conditioner out we sat down in front of a mirror, and I went into shock AGAIN. My hair was Tony the Tiger orange!! I told her it's too oragne and Isabel told me to just come back again and she'll strip all the color if I'd like. I promptly left.

I had an irritated and red face and stinging eyes all night. The next morning I had to take off of work at Wachovia because of my flamboiant hair colors. I spoke with Penny Morgan over the phone and she told me the refund was all she could do, frankly she didn't even have a tone of remorse about the mistakes, nor did she apologize for the shoty work.

I spoke to the JcPenney store manager Nanette Street and she promised me a reimbursement for my next hair color anywhere I choose because obviously I wouldn't choose their salon ever again.
