JD Byrider/CNAC is , in my opinion, participating in organized fraud. To have your vehicle repossesed for being in default by one day is ridiculous at best and serves no ones interest but the profits of the company. They are selling the same vehicle over and over agauin to unsuspecting consumers that will have it repossesed ,no matter what, if you go even a day in default. The bigger problem is that at the Tampa franchise, tehy requet the entire amount of the loan that is now in default because they repossesed it and will seek to sue you for the vehicle that they will sell to some other unsuspecting consumer at inflated prices and an outrageous interest rate. The public is being swindled by this horrid company skirting the law.

My vehicle was purchased on February 20, 2008 and was repo'ed on March 24,2008. I hadn't even gotten the hard tag for it yet, because I was a day in default due to my work schedule. Even though I had the money to pay htem when I inquired about retrieving the license plate on the 24th. While I was on the phone with CNAC, the repo man was in my driveway. Now I don't want the car back, I want justice.

I wish to see this company punished/closed down for thier predatory lending and thier shady business practices, if it takes every thing I have to do it. My credit score will only reflect negatively of my dealings with this company. Too many people have the same horror story, something needs to be done!

#3 Consumer Suggestion

You signed the contract, stop complaining

Don't get mad at CNAC for following the contract. If you had done the same and made your payments on time like you AGREED to do, your car would not have been repossesed. Take responsibility for your actions and don't blame others for your behavior.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

I have an answer......

I doubt you will like it. This is a high interest rate loan company. I am guessing you have a high interest rate loan. Did you not take notice of your interest rate when you signed up for the loan? Also, your loan document should have the "no grace period" and from now on, please ask ANY question you have instead of "assuming" what it means. Assuming what "No zero tolerance" meant almost cost you the car.

Now if I were you I would tell you to either pay this loan off sooner than later , sell it private sale( yourself) or make all payments on time or better off a couple days early if possible.

Now, if you just give it back to them, this is not just giving the car back, but is considered it as a voluntary repo. They will sell it way below what it is worth and they will come after you for the difference. They will SUE you and if you do not pay garnish your wages. So please do not think if you drop this off you will just get out of the loan. They are very careful in their contract and you have bitten off alot by going with this so called company. In the future, save your money and pay cash. If you can not afford to pay cash , you do not need to buy it. Don't worry bout what your neighbors drive, they are probably behind anyway. lol

You are playing with snakes here and trust me in that you will be bitten by these guys. Do not believe that you will always have to have a car payment......that is a lie. There are plenty of people in this world that do not buy into that myth and we are in a much better financial place because of it.

Good luck with it!

JD Byrider/ CNAC........ Do Not trust them. Zero Grace means I CoME GET YOUR CAR!

AUTHOR: Rd2tara - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 04, 2008

I bought a car two months ago from JD Byrider, they lead me to believe that they were a true bank. They said there was no grace period, and did I understand that. Well, being the financial person I am, I believed it meant Finance Charges Apply. I was working on the day my payment was due, I have never been late ever, and then it was the weekend, and on Monday while I was working, my supervisor told me someone from JD Byrider called and asked if I was still employed.

She had told them I was, and then they hung up. After work about 5:10 I walked to the parking lot and it was already dark, there was no car to be found, I thought my car was stolen, I paniced, I called the police, I called my family, then I had someone I knew come pick me up and take me to my sons car. This morning I was called and told my car had been towed, and was in an impound lot in Pensacola. A customer from Work had seen it. I called and went over there. I called my Insurance Company and the police told them where my car was. Upon arrival I found out that CNAC had called them,I called CNAC, they said you were due on Friday and when I didn't come they put it out for pick up. I was livid, I explained that a no grace to me was not come get my car, it was charge me a fee. I told them they needed to explain things better. The car was brought to JD Byrider and I had to pay additional fees and my payment to get my car. They said, our Finance Manager must be in a good mood today! I said why, I have paid for my car you can't just come get it, they just replied we normally don't ever give the vehicle back. Then I was told politely that I better take this as a lesson to pay on time every time.

I feel like I have been preyed upon, and I have been taken advantage of. I work very hard to stay on top of things. My boss sent me there because she has heard good things and also she got a bonus referral. I feel like someone spuld of warned me. I did not know what kind of Finance Company or Car lot it was. I am horrified as I read all these reports. I never would of looked it up until today. I am feeling all you all pain, bevause I am there. Is there any way out of this with out damaging my credit? All the Money I have spent on payments and down payments. I need that money back too. Is there a way to sue them? If any one has answers please reply.

Thank you
rd2tara!
