Joe, I was there when you ordered the old files to be placed in plastic trash bags for the cleaning company to place in the dumpster. Sherry, Jim, Nancy, Heather, Ricky, and Lauriel were also there. One of the shredders you refer to was thrown out by Sherry the week before because it hadn't worked in over a year. The second one can't shred more than 10 pages without jamming. There was at least 40 trash bags of files. The files contained names, drivers license numbers, SSN, employment information, birth dates, etc. Many even had tax return copies with W-2's.

There is no way that we destroy records, as we are required to keep them for at least 3 years. Why would anyone ever say that we put someone's tax records in the trash? We have two shreaders for when we need to get rid of old documents.
