When a house went for a short sale across the street from us in our quiet respectable North Cape May neighborhood, I was curious. I'm not a novice to real estate and have bought and sold my share of properties, mostly with an upstanding realtor that I consider a friend for life. That is how most realtors are, they are members of your community conduct themselves accordingly.  Most realtors don't want one-time customers, they want clients and friends for life, for they realize that one happy person tells ten more, and before they know it, they have a network of friends, customers and colleagues.

Unfortunately, not all people and realtors are cut from that mold. When I gave my realtor/friend the info. of the home across the street from us, she sighed and told us in so many words to watch out. So what I thought? Let us check the place out, maybe it would make a good investment. We looked, it was beyond repair, mold and feces odors permeated every crack in the home, so be it, a teardown, that's what I would do, I lost interest in it, and thought, let someone else do it.

Ok, I sure got mine, without deserving it!!!!  Being a computer geek and hobbyist, I recently installed a dozen cameras with a DVR that records 24/7. What I saw horrified and sickened me. To increase the curb appeal of the home across the street (wooded lot) Jean Ball ordered a leaf cleanout. I watched sickened and horrified when I saw her henchmen dump over 22 tarps full of leaves and debris on my recently remodeled home. Time after time they walked, stomped all over my lawn and just dumped, and dumped, and dumped more.

There's literally piles four feet high of leaves and yard debris. My trash and recyclables weren't picked up last week because the trashmen could not find my receptacles.  My landscaper couldn't clean our leaves out, and forget parking in front. When you look at our home from the street you can only see half of our porch through the leaf piles.

I called her office, they chuckled and took my information, said they would return my call, they did not. Total disrespect, and that was the receptionist!!! That office is littered with garbage, much like my house after having the misfortune of living across the street from one of her listings. She probably calls her clients "marks" or "suckers"

Since an ordinance was violated I called the police, they called her, she told the officer, she would clean it up today, well it's today, and guess who still has piles of debris out front! She even lied to the cop! Will she lie to you? You betcha!

I don't know her, have never met her, but I could not imagine doing business with anyone this unscrupulous. Can you imagine what she's not telling you? Do you really think you would come out on the good side of a transaction with a low-life person that operates in this manner? Are you willing to bet your life savings? Do you want to make the biggest purchase of your life with her?

I think not, there are plenty of great realtors, Jean Ball is not one of them. Steer clear unless you want Jean Ball to take your lunch money and then some.

Yes, I am the author of the original report, in fact I did not have personal knowledge that Jean Ball herself ordered the original deed be done by dumping over 25 tarps of leaves on my lawn. For that I apologize.

I may have been to hard, but....

Proper decorum, respect for another, and communication on her part could have thwarted this situation.

Please see The YouTube Clip at the midway mark, I have plenty more!

halfway done the job

Contractor:
Jean Ball had nothing to do with the leaves in front of this person's house. This was given to a sub contractor, whom is writing this rebuttal. These were leaves that the township told me would be picked up on Monday or Tuesday.

Answer:
The leaves were not in front of my property, they were on it, please see video. The township did not pick up the leaves on Monday or Tuesday, and the leaf vacuum does not go onto someone's lawn, only the curb, I would have had to pay to get them off my "non-existent lawn" Why should I pay someonelse's freight?

Contractor:
you have no lawn, there were not 22 tarps of leaves and how do your trash receptacles make it to the street by themselves.

Answer:
My lawn is 100ft wide, 32 ft to my porch as readers will see on the video. My recyclables, cardboard did get picked up this week, since the leaves were removed.

Contractor:
Jean Ball is a reputable and highly respected real estate agent and productive individual in this world. Clearly from the tone of your report and lack of accurate facts you are leaving yourself wide open for a lawsuit. Yes, there is freedom of speak in this country but this should not be used to destroy a person's livelihood. There seems to be a lot of anger and hatred in your heart you should not have taken it out on an innocent person.

Answer:
Jean Ball's Name is on the sign and as such her and/or the broker of record are responsible for the conduct of all of her sub's. I called, left my personal cell phone number and never received any type of response. I did my due diligence and notified her secretary.  Is that how a reputable and highly respected & productive individual behaves? It appeared she did not care.

Contractor:
According to your report you called Remax office and through the phone you could see that the office was littered with garbage. You claim an ordinance was violated, what is that ordinance? You need to explain what other debris there was LEAVES.

Answer:
Leaves from another property, that were dumped on my private property are debris, are garbage that is slated for a landfill. There is an ordinance against dumping leaves, yes specifically leaves, on another person's property. I urge you to call Lower Township at 609-886-1851 and discuss it with a police officer. It was that authority that allowed the officer to make contact.

Contractor:
I have never met you but it seems that you have a lot of time on your hands that is not being used productively. In this world nowadays you cannot just threaten people. The threat would be if these leaves are not picked up by 4:00pm Monday I will destroy you. You posted this report before 4:00pm. So who is a liar? There is enough hatred in the world do we really need more? You need to do the right thing now and correct YOUR mistake.

Answer:
I was told the contractor would be out on Monday to correct the situation. I took off work to meet them, they were not there, so yes, I did have a lot of time that day. I never made a threat, and you sound like there's much angst in your writing. As far as the removal is concerned, that makes you a liar as the police officer told me on Sunday, that the party told him, on Monday the removal was to take place.

Contractor:
Jean Ball is a person with great integrity I am sure an apology and removal of this report would be more than enough for her. If she should ever feel the need to proceed with the legal process your neighbors and I would have no problem being a witness in Jean Balls behalf

Answer:
I have already spoken to my neighbors and they agree that you should have gotten permission before dumping.

FannieMae called me and told me, they ordered the removal, and that they were sorry, and that the subcontractor had been terminated. Is that really true, you really sound personally connected to her.

My mistake was assuming that Jean Ball personally ordered the cleanup, having lots of experience dealing with realtors it is usually them that order the services. I incorrectly made that assumption.

However,
had she personally handled the situation or reached out with even a return call or anything, this whole dialog could have been avoided. As the video shows the leaves are on the lawn, not at the curb. On the lawn = a financial burden required to remove.

To clear this issue up, Jean Ball had nothing to do with the leaves in front of this person's house. This was given to a sub contractor, whom is writing this rebuttal. These were leaves that the township told me would be picked up on Monday or Tuesday. I am making no excuses for the bad decision I made. Is there really a need to destroy a persons reputation over leaves?
Within your report there are many outright lies. The house across the street from you is a foreclosure, you have no lawn, there were not 22 tarps of leaves and how do your trash receptacles make it to the street by themselves. As for
parking in front of your house you do not own the street. I was told by the police to just pull the leaves to the asphalt.

This was a mistake that has been corrected.

According to your report you called Remax office and through the phone you could see that the office was littered with garbage. You claim an ordinance was violated, what is that ordinance? You need to explain what other debris there was LEAVES.
