On 27 Dec 2010 I received an email from Jeff Noyes of Vendor-Lock.com offering a package called "The Black Top Hat" which is a method to get "F.R.E.E. Traffic for life, to send to your sites and blogs... WITHOUT spending any money on ANY extras...".

Being a little skeptical I emailed his to ask if he provided a money back guarantee:

Do you offer any form of money back guarantee on this? Just a bit concerned that it may not be something I'm interested in doing once I see what it involves and can’t afford to spend $47 and not make use of it.

Thanks.

And received the following reply:

Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry. I do have a 10 money back guarantee on this product.
I also help people with the method, so you'll be getting help from me if you need it too.

I'll give you a tip.( secret ) If you go the website http://theblacktophat.com and then try to leave the site without purchasing, it will show you a second page, that will offer you $10 off. So you can purchase the Black Top Hat package for $37.

Stick around and I'll show you how to make enough money where you will never be concerned about how much the product costs again  ; )

Have a great day !
Yours truly,
Jeff Noyes

Assuming he meant a 10 day guarantee I purchased the package on 29 Dec 2010 for $37.

To comply with the terms of posting on RipOff Report I will not say what I thought of the product or anything about it but suffice to say it was not something that I wanted to be associated with or pursue.

I emailed Jeff twice, on 31 Dec 2010 (i.e., 2 days after purchasing) and again on 6 Jan 2011 asking for a refund:

Jeff, still waiting for this refund...

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

Purchased this in the end but as I’m not into xxxx xxxxxxxx (or xxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx for that matter) I will not be making use of it and would therefore like to request a refund please.

Was purchased from the PayPal account xxxxxxx.

Thanks

No response was received to either email. This was the entire email exchange between is. There was NO other correspondence.

I therefore raised a dispute with PayPal on 8 Jan 2011, 10 days after purchase, as follows:

8/01/2011 21:11 GMT+13:00 - Buyer: Before purchasing this item I specifically emailed the vendor and asked if there was a money back guarantee as I wasn't sure I'd be interested in his strategy. He responded, "Thanks for your inquiry. I do have a 10 money back guarantee on this product". I assume he means 10 days and not 10 minutes!I purchased the product but was not interested in pursuing it. I have twice emailed the vendor, on 31 Dec & 5 Jan, asking for a refund but no response has been received.Should the vendor decide to issue the requested refund I am happy to close this dispute.

He responded to PayPal as follows:
8/01/2011 23:24 GMT+13:00 - Seller: Hello, This customer asked me plenty of questions in advance which I spent the time to answer for free. He also emailed several times telling me he was getting use out of my video and coaching package, and asked for even more help. Which I gave. Now he wants to keeps my digital product and get a refund after learning how to do what I teach, so he can have it for free. I answered a lot of emails and gave this customer a lot of one on one help. I do have a 10 day money back guarantee, but the 10 days is long up for this customer, and he emailed how WELL things were going with his business after using my product. Please take this into consideration, as I have a family to feed and can't let everyone steal my digital products once they have absorbed the material.Thank you.Jeff

The items in bold above are outright lies!

Lie #1 "This customer asked me plenty of questions in advance which I spent the time to answer for free". The only question I asked was if he provided a money back guarantee.

Lie #2 "He also emailed several times telling me he was getting use out of my video and coaching package, and asked for even more help. Which I gave". The only emails sent after purchase were asking for a refund. I didn't ask for, nor receive, any help.

Lie #3 "I answered a lot of emails and gave this customer a lot of one on one help". There were no other emails and no one-on-one help.

Lie #4 "I do have a 10 day money back guarantee, but the 10 days is long up for this customer". Purchased on 29 Dec, asked for a refund 2 days later and opened dispute with PayPal on 8 Jan. How was the 10 days "long up"?

Lie #5 "and he emailed how WELL things were going with his business after using my product". The only emails sent after purchase were asking for a refund.

Although I emailed PayPal to point out the lies they were not added to the dispute history and I have no idea if they were seen by the person investigating the claim or not but the response from PayPal after one month was "After careful consideration, we're unable to decide this claim in your favor at this time. The item is ineligible for PayPal Buyer Protection because it is intangible."

Not sure why it takes them a month to realize a digital produce is intangible but the bottom line is that Jeff Noyes has STOLEN $37 from me by lying to PayPal.

Jeff Noyes is not to be trusted and his money-back guarantee is worthless.

My dealings with Jeff Noyes

AUTHOR: Robert Shields - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Sunday, March 06, 2016

Some years ago Jeff Noyes offered a Warrior Special Offer of use of his Vendor Lock and an annual subscription to his 'Hosting Service'.

I paid him a total of $119.00.

About a week after trying to use his Vendor Lock, I found I was unable to log in.  This also applied to his Hosting Service.

I contacted him via email.  No response.

I then started sending him a large number of emails at intervals asking for help to log in.  No response.

I used, what he laughingly called his 'Support Service' sending a number of tickets.  No response.

I left it for a while as I was extremely busy and started to send him emails again.  No response.

I then resorted to threats. e.g. I would include his 'scam' in my Newsletter to 4,000 subscribers and he actually responded to an email.   By the way, he received all my emails as I had a tracking link in them that confirmed they were received and read.

His reply was that he was sorry and that he was suffering froma 'serious illness' that prevented him doing his work.   His email was so full of 'feel sorry for me, it is not my fault' I actually fell for it and believed him.

He offered as compensation a lifetime hosting account and gave me log in details etc.   No mention of a refund of the $119.00 paid to him, but I felt sorry for him and accepted his offer.

Two weeks later, and after a lot of uploading etc. on my part, I was again locked out of the Hosting Acccount. I sent him an email. No response. I sent him numerous emails. No response.

But, he even had the bare-faced cheek to send me annual renewal invoices for the Hosting Service.

The latest invoice was received a few weeks ago and I sent him an email (rather rude I must admit) pointing out that I had no intention of paying for a service I have not had.  Guess what?  No response.

In my opinion, this guy is, in my humble opinion, a habitual liar and a con man.  His rebuttal statement cannot be believed, especially about his 400 affiliates (surely a joke?) and the rest of his statement looks to me like the ramblings of a disturbed mind.

Oh, did I mention that he is also continually sending me emails promoting his own and affiliate products even though I have unsubscribed a number of times.    The worst kind of marketer.

Ben Magrill is a SERIAL REFUNDER WHO GOT BUSTED & NOT TO BE TRUSTED !

AUTHOR: Vendor-Lock.com - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Hello,

In response to this rediculas claim....

Ben Magrill is what we call in the business a " SERIAL REFUNDER "

I didn't just send that email to paypal, I send much more.
I sent proof that Mr. Ben Magrill is a con artist.

Someone who thinks it's OK to download digital products,
and then get an instant refund after learning the material taught.

Since the ebook and video package Ben Magrill tried to steal is a digital download,
people ( like me ) that put in long hard hours putting together quality video and ebook
packages are easily ripped off this way.

People like Ben Magrill can claim " I'm not satisfied " and get their money
back through paypal, not thinking about the money he's stealing from the
product creator.

Product creators have families and mortgages and all that,
so stealing from a digital product creator is no different then robbing
a 7-11 store at gunpoint.

To come on here, and post this is just proving how nuts you are,
and how dangerous it would be for anyone to trust you.

I have an excellent reputation, and over 400 affiliates who sell my products
and make money everyday that would laugh in your face for posting such
nonsense.

Bottom line,

EVERYONE KNOWS that paypal is very thorough in any investigation,

and they decided in MY FAVOUR !

I believe that says it ALL to anyone reading your angry BS .

You're just all hyper because this is the first time someone proved you
were downloading multiply products and getting instant refunds for no reason at all.

Have a nice day theif.

You were busted, and now your busted again.

You should apply the methods in the video and ebook you bought,
instead of typing nonsense that no one cares about or believes,
when YOU yourself said that paypal decided in my favour.

You would be making money online like the rest of my happy customers.

Anyways...

Sorry you're such a bitter fool.

I do well because I run a good business.

No amounts of BS you can spew on a website can couter-act that.

But....

It was fun watching you make yourself look even
more rediculas by posting this.

It was quite funny.

Take care

Jeff Noyes
