Do not use this individual. Jeff met with us on February 16th and took a $740 deposit to paint our home. He quickly cashed the check and then it took him another week to come and start the job. He worked for 1 day ind painted 1 room, about 1/4 of job. It is now April 16th and he is no longer responding to phone messages or text messages. He has come up with about 20 excuses why he can't get over to our house to finish the job.

Jeff is nothing but a thief and a con artist. The painting he did complete is garbage. Jeff is not a contractor, painter, or even a human being. He is the lowest scum of the earth that would steal from a family with four children. STAY FAR AWAY!

Jeff: Yes we are.  I will text back time shortly.

Us:Hey Jeff, no pressure.  I was planning on putting the baby down for a nap now but didnt want to interferewith you painting.  Any idea what timeyou will be here?

Jeff:  I am actually stuck with my truck at a gas station at the moment.  Brakes locked on my right rear wheel.  I think we will have to start tomorrow if that is good for you.

March 14th

11:17AM  Jeff:  Hi this is not my week for luck with cars.  My wife called and was stuck at drs office.  Her car would not go in reverse.  Hopefully a cheap fix and I can avoid the tow.  This could end up being

an expensive week for repairs.  I apologize for the inconvenience and will update shortly as far as schedule goes.

March 14th 5:12PM

Us:  R U coming tomorrow or starting next week?

March 15th 9:13AM

Jeff:  hi.  The drs office sent us to Edward hospital to get chest xrays for my daughter.  They were worried about pneumonia so if we could go Monday that would be great and help out big time.

March 18th:

Us:  Jeff.  When are you planning on starting the painting?

Jeff:  Tuesday. Sorry some of my texts have not been coming through.  I will see you between 930 and 1030

March 19th 9:13AM

Jeff:  Got it. See you in a bit.

10:26AM  Us: Did you decide where you will be starting?

Jeff:   Kitchen and family room if that works for you.

Us:  Great. I will put baby down for nap now.

March 20th:

11:52AM  Jeff:  Trying to jam 30 hours of stuff into a 24 hour day again.  On the road now and I will be over in a bit.

Jeff finally comes over and paints kitchen and family room.

March 20th 5:56 PM

Us: Forgot to ask.  Are you coming tomorrow?

Jeff:  yes

Us:  Great

March 21st 1:56PM

US:  Hi Jeff!  I am guessing you are not able to come today.  I have a sitter coming tomorrow

for a few hours.  Do you think you will be coming tomorrow?

Jeff:Yes sorry.  They worked on my back and it was pretty sore this morning.

Us:  Do you know what time?

3:47PM  Us:  Do you know what time tomorrow

Jeff:       10:30

March 22nd 11:11AM  Us:  I have a sitter here.  Are you coming today or not.  If so what time?

12:16PM   Jeff:  If it works for you I would like to start fresh on Monday.  I will have help and can knock it right out for you.  My back is giving me problems today and I had to take a muscle relaxer.  So Monday would work best.

March 25th

11:04Am  Us:  R U Coming today?

Jeff:  Yes. Driving now.

Us:  I am having people over at 4.  You will have to wrap up by then.

12:07:Us:  Jeff we still havent heard from you and our house is torn apart.  We wrote you a caheck for $725 and have had day of work done.  I would like a schedule of when you plan on finishing the job.

Jeff:  Sorry I just got a new script for my back that will work better.  I will get back to you this afternoon to firm up a schedule. We will have you wrapped up by the end of the week.

1:10PM  Jeff: I did not have the right paint with me today to have a project to complete by 3:30.

I was coming from Indiana picking up hay.  I will be out tomorrow morning.

March 26th:

US:  Jeff you never got back to us yesterday with the schedule.

March 27th:

2:21PM  Us:  Jeff at this point we feel we are being taken advantage of .  I am supposed to be hosting Easter on Sunday.  When will this be done?

4:43PM  Us:  Jeff will you please at least answer me?

Jeff:  Sorry. I will get back to you in a few.

5:48PM:  Us: jeff it has been over an hour.

7:09PM  Us: jeff I would really like an answer

8:04PM  Jeff: Not trying to take advantage of you.  You have ben good customers and I appreciate that.  The last week I have had some real problems with my back.  I never allow myself any time to rest and always end up making it worse.  I would like to get this finished for you.  If this works I would like to finish the lower hall and powder room on Friday and come back after Easter Monday Tuesday to

finish foyer and bedroom.  I was in ER at Edward for most of the day today because of my back so I would like to give it a few days rest before coming back.  Let me know what you think.  I value your

business and truly apologize for any inconvenience.

Us:  next week is not an option.  Friday is the only day so Friday it will have to be and then next wednesday to finish.

Jeff:  that works

March 28th:

Us:  Jeff I need to know 100% that you will be here to paint tomorrow.

Jeff: Yes

Mar 29th  11:57AM:  Jeff:  heading out your way.  Have to stop at home depot.  Do you want flat or eggshell for the powder room?

Us:  whatever you think

1:53PM  Us: Jeff at this point we are so way beyond disappointed.  We will put yoru stuff in the garage and askthat you remove it over the weekend.  We would like a refund of our money.  You do have to admit that we have been beyond patient. I am so disappointed.

Jeff:  I am right around corner

Jeff paints powder room and takes his equipment home.

6:21pm  Us:  Hi jeff.  Just a bit nervous that you took your stuff with you.  Will you be coming back to finish?

Jeff:  yes I will

Us:  Great thank you

April 2nd:

4:19PM  Us:  what time do you think you will be here tomorrow

7:22pm:  Us:  hey Jeff!  Are you coming tomorrow?  Trying to figure out the day

8:01PM  Jeff: At a school function.  I will have to see if I can get my equipment. Thursday / Friday good?

Us:  Jeff Thursday and Friday are fine but it has to be done by Friday.

April 3rd:

Us:  Hey Jeff.  We are on for tomorrow I hope

Jeff: Yes

9:02PM  Any idea what time you will be here?  Looks like the darker walls need another coat as light color is bleeding through.

April 4th 7:56AM

Us:  Just wondering what time today.

Jeff: Probably around 11.  Waiting for my nephew to drop my equipment off.

Us: ok thanks

11:42am  Jeff sends us an email we are supposed to believe he was sending to his  nephew.

Mad that he didnt bring his equipment to him yet.

2:04PM  Us:  I take it not today

Jeff:  Today is totally ridiculous  my nephew has my equipment and is AWOL.  I will let you know in a little bit about schedule.  I want to get this done for you.

2:26PM  Us:  If you plan to finish we have to have this complete by Tuesday.

4:31PM  Us:  I have to have a schedule within an hour

5:17PM  Jeff:  Monday Tuesday for sure

Us:  so no tomorrow?

April 5th

11:20AM  us:  I take it today is a no as well

2:35  us:  out of common courtesy and my unending patience I think I deserve an answer.

Now jeffs phone is completely blocking our calls.

2:39  We send emails to jeff asking him what is going on.

Us:   Can you please come and finish the job you started? PLEASE? We have not done anything to you to deserve this treatment...Please? I tried to call you and your number says it is disconnected...Please...It has been a very stressful week and this is not what I need...Thank you!

Jeff via email:  Sorry about the phone thing. Had some disputes with my billing on my phone concerning cramming etc and told them to cancel my service if i could not get some satisfaction and they took me serious. so I should have that corrected in a day or so. Don't worry i will have you wrapped up by Tuesday..

So that is it.  The whole story.  The facts.  I must be missing the part where we were told " I did not think I would be able to complete the work and that I did not have qualified help as well."    Oh yeah.  And the only time we learned that you felt you completed half of the work and deserved half of the payment was when my attorney called demanding a refund of our money.

I did not sign a contract to paint half of my walls.  I signed a contract to complete the job 100%.  You are in breach of that contract.

And yes,  you did work for us in the past as well as family.  We never ran into this problem in the past as the jobs were completed.  Unforuntely something has changed in your life that has led you to act this way.

I have nothing further to say as I think our communication string above speaks for itself.  We will continue to pursue this matter legally.  The police have been contacted and the Attorney General's office will also be contacted.  My only hope is that other hard working families do not fall victim to this scam.

I did contract with these clients to perform work in their home. Contract was for painting family room, kitchen, foyer with halls, powder room, and 2 walls in daughters room. I additionally offered to paint daughters bath at no additional cost if they were to start work right away. Clients did not want to start work right away but wanted to start several weeks later. As a perk for being return customers I offered the bath at no additional charge anyway.

I accepted a $725.00 deposit, with the balance due upon completion of the work. Work was commenced and I painted the kitchen, family room, powder room and lower hallway, Equivalent to 1/2 of the work, leaving only the foyer walls and 2 walls in daughters room ( daughters bath was a freebie and not included in the price for other work).

I informed clients as well that I had injured my back and was having trouble getting back to do the work. Foyer was two story and therefore required being on an extension ladder which was difficult for me at the time.

I communicated to the clients that I did not think I would be able to complete the work and that I did not have qualified help as well. I let them know that half of the work has been completed. Clients then demanded all of their money back.

I have worked for these clients 3-4 times in the past painting as well as doing tile work in their kitchen, I have also done work in their parents and siblings homes, as well as the clients giving my name out numerous times for referrals.

I will not even rebut their personal attacks on me as I have known them for years do not think they are the type of people who would smear a person personally like that, especially when it could affect my ability to take care of my family and children and grandchildren.
