Every year our company runs into 2-5 businesses that have given him thousands of dollars in deposits and never received a sign, or received a sign and it doesn't work less than a year later and he will no longer return their calls.

If you luck out and DO get a sign from him believe me, they are junk! We know the company in China that he buys them from. I have no idea how much Spears charges for his signs but I do know that they aren't worth it!

Do your research on a company before making a big investment like an LED sign. Any company that will not give you their business address is not legitamate. If they do give you their address, look it up! See if it is a manufacturing facility or just a house or apartment. Insist that you MAIL them a deposit to that address, never hand them a check!
