I was asked by a classmate of mine to come and check out her new baby pig she just adopted. Unfortunately I was unable to stop by that day. I reassured her that raising a pig was nothing compared to a kitten or a puppy and to give it some more time and that in no time they would have a bond that couldn’t be broken. I did proceed to go the following day after numerous texts of her exhausted and somewhat scared that there was something wrong with her pig. Upon arriving the 8 week old little girl was terrified and had scars as if she had been neglected. She didn’t respond to food, blankets, or anything that my other pig did when arriving home. She shook and trembled as I got her out piercing my ears with retched screams. As I examined her I found she had no front teeth. Not the normal cutting of the needle sharp teeth they have. Legitimately removed. There were serious sores in her gums and she could not keep her tongue in her mouth. My classmate stated she could not take care of Opal (mini pig) and asked me to adopt her. I did with arms wide open. After having her for the last two months and working with her constantly she is still very skiddish. I can hardly pet her let alone hold her. I have to feed her baby food/formula and baby rice, anything else she cannot chew. She has terrible anxiety and it has been better since she has lived with me. I recently learned she has an emotional attachment to my pig Gus who has lived with me and been trained since he was only 4 weeks old. I had to separate them for Gus to be neutered and she was even more evasive than normal. She even stopped eating and drinking. But it breaks my heart that they removed her teeth in such a horrid way. I assume they used no anesthesia either. But do not quote me on that because I have no clue if they did use pain meds or anything. I just would like justice for their inhumane treatment towards these little defenseless guys.

My sweet piggy baby

AUTHOR: DAA - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

My pet mini pig is from Jennah. He arrived perfectly healthy and with the appropriate number of teeth for an 11 week old piglet. He was trepidatious initially, which is to be expected when they join a new family. Because he was so well socialized when he arrived, he warmed up quickly! My precious baby is the absolute joy of my life! Jennah had continued to be supportive every step of the way. I couldn't ask for a better breeder! I hear horror stories daily, about awful greeders. Jennah is a consummate professional. She is one of the most amazing breeders, I know. When I'm ready for another piggy, I'll go to her first and only! My baby was microchipped, came with a bill of health from a vet and Jennah made sure I was going to be a good piggy parent, before allowing me to get my baby. She matched us up perfectly. There are simply not enough words to express how grateful I am to her. I have also seen the texts between the original owner and Jennah. The person who filed this slander should get facts from their "friend" Shame on you both!

Ridiculous slander

AUTHOR: Disgusted - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

I have known Jennah for over a year, since researching breeders. Currently I assist her in providing support for those having bonding issues, behavioral problems, or just behavioral questions in general. We both remain in contact with those that ask for additional support, as well as maintain a group so the pig parents can encourage each other, vent, and offer suggestions. The original owner shared photos of her happy and healthy piglet enjoying belly rubs. When sent home, she was definitely not traumatized, scarred, unsocial, or unable to eat. When the original owner suggested rehoming, due to her new job requiring longer hours and not due to issues stemming from prior abuse or the inability to eat, I personally reached out to offer assistance with no response. Both Jennah and myself were willing to take in this piglet and find a suitable living arrangement, accompanied by a current health certificate. If this pig is actually in the condition this report claims, the responsibility lies directly in the hands of either the previous or current owner. At the very least, the original report admits to feeding a diet that is not nutritionally sufficient for a growing pig and will cause considerable tooth, gum, and mouth issues.

This complaint is patently false!

AUTHOR: Hoss - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

I am a customer of Violet's Mini Pigs. My spouse and I purchased our piggy baby over a year ago. From the first day we purchased our pig up to this day and I'm sure until eternity an onward, Jenna had been helpful and happy to answer all of our problems and concerns. She has a vast network of owners who I have witnessed work together to solve any problem a pig owner could have. She is also willing to give her vet's number so that any questions or concerns may be addressed to him, as well. There is no other place on earth I would recommend getting a pet pig that from Violet's Mini Pigs. This rip off report should be removed, since it is not even written by an actual customer.

Violets Mini Pigs is a extraordinary breeder and support for mini pigs and their knew parents!

AUTHOR: Kat Currier - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

Jennah was nothing but upfront about the treatment of her pigs how they were raised and answered every question i could think of as a new pig mama. The mini pig I received from her was a sweet well socialized pig. He was microchipped, with a clean bill.of health from the vet that also neutered Tobi before he was flown to us. She used care to ensure his flight was comfortable and He traveled with a sibling also coming to our area. Both pigs were in good health and neither had their teeth removed, that is an absurd allegation. I'd be interested to see the documentation on this pig as I know that Jennah follows her pigs as well as has created an outstanding support group for her pig owners new and old. I'd also be interested to know what the living situation the pig was in and a new pig owner who would not know how to socialize with a pig if they did not take advantage of the teaching Jennah offers with her pigs. She also guarantees their health for 1 year after purchase. This claim is absolute BS! The claim also fails to address how long the pig was owned by the person who asked to rehome the pig. I would suspect that the alleged abuse or mistreatment may have been a fault of an uneducated new pig parent.

Jennah Sieg’s Violets Mini Pigs in an amazing breeder

AUTHOR: Kirsten - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

I picked up my pig, Percy, from Jennah on May 20th. When he was put in my arms he was the sweetest little thing and immediately began bonding with me. Jennah went into a lot of helpful information about bonding and care and where he should be kept for his comfort. He came with papers detailing his care and also vet certification to SHOW he is healthy.

He came microchipped and potty trained. It only took him a few days to warm up to us and he’s been the sweetest most loving pig. He has no health issues, no skittish behavior. He is perfect. Even if we ever do have an issue, Jennah has made it very clear, even though she is a very busy woman, she is there to help us. She’s only a phone call or a message away.

On our Facebook groups, that she has set up, she’s offered a platform for all the pig parents to chat and share stories. All of these people praise Jennah for how great she has done, and is still doing. This is obviously not a pig from Jennah. She loves all of her piggies and would never allow them to go through such pain. Please set this record straight. She does not deserve to be put down for something that was not her doing.

False accusations

AUTHOR: Gracie123 - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

There is absolutely no truth to this statement. I have personally visited Jennah’s farm. All of her pigs are well taken care of and she would NOT even think about pulling a pigs needle teeth. My girls teeth were trimmed only and of course she was scared when I brought her but I gave her more than 24 hours to adjust.

Seems like your friend failed to do her research on pigs as well. Sounds to me like your friend got her pig from someone else or this pig doesn’t exist period. For one if a pigs needle teeth were completely pulled out there is still no need to feed formula and baby cereal as they chew with their back teeth. Jennah also fixes her pigs before she sells them. Was this one fixed?

Before slandering a company get your facts right women. Sounds to me like another breeder making false accusations on This website to make themselves look better. Sounds like you have a lot of time on your hands for someone who has such a needy pig! Get a freaking life!

Jennah Sieg of Violets Mini Pigs is Amazing

AUTHOR: Amy - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

I have not one but two mini pigs that came from Jennah of Violets Mini Pigs. I saw where all the pigs and babies were kept. Every pig had every single thing they possibly could need plus some. The babies are taken care of better than any breeder I have ever seen. Both of my babies were fixed, micro chipped, vaccinated and had a clean bill of health from a reputable vet. My paperwork also included my baby's date of birth, parents name and when his vaccines were given.

I was also given a care sheet that answered about any question I could have. Jennah was very friendly and sweet. She took the time to answer any questions I had before I left. She assured me that I can call her 24/7 with any questions or concerns that I might have. She also invited me into her Facebook groups where we share fun pics of our pigs or where we can also ask questions regarding them. I have had one of my babies for a year and the other one for 5 months. Both have never had any health issues, they both are very social and loveable.

I would never go anywhere else for a mini pig. She cares about the well being of all animals, not just pigs. She is honest about the care of pigs. They are nothing like a cat or dog. She understands that sometimes things happen and an owner may not be able to keep their pig anymore, Jennah is more than happy to help find a new home for that pig and will even take the pig back herself. I don't know of any breeder that does that.

I honestly don't know why anybody would accuse Jennah of animal abuse or neglect. That is so far from the truth. Every single animal in her care is treated like royalty. The person that wrote this complaint does not know what they are talking about and now way did that pig come from Jennah Sieg. They should be ashamed of themselves making such disgusting accusations about one of the few people left in this world that cares about animals!! Jennah does an amazing job!

Untrue

AUTHOR: Ckduncan - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

I am in utter disbelief at everything being claimed in the report above. Jennah takes care of all her animals, she is sweet and kind and knowledgable about her role as a breeder. All her pigs are taken care of, chipped and vet certified prior to going home with the new parents. I don't know who this lady is talking about, but it is not the violet's mini pigs I know and have worked with.

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

I purchased a mini pig from Violets Mini Pigs about 6 months ago. My Kizzie has been super healthy and sweet from the start and has her teeth! I think you have the wrong breeder. She came fixed, microchipped and with health papers. Jen nah was extremely professional and loves her pigs.

Healthy & Happy

AUTHOR: Violet's Mini Pigs - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

The alleged "rescuer" of the so called "Opal" pig spoke to me on the phone yesterday. I advised her that we ALWAYS take our babies back if an owner cannot take care of them for ANY reason at all, and keep track of ALL of our babies and their whereabouts. The person would not disclose the name the pig came from or the original name of the pig to VALIDATE that is was in fact one of OUR original pigs. We rescue pigs ourselves, and will help any pig in need.

The last thing we want is for anyone to have to take in a piglet that needs help. However, this person I spoke to yesterday that filed this report was rude and unwilling to provide any information to me. Also ALL of our pigs go home with vet documentation showing that they are HEALTHY PRIOR TO GOING HOME. They are examined by a liscensed veterinarian and this baby absolutely would have been sent home with proper documentation showing it was healthy (teeth, nutrition, internally, and externally) upon going home.

Absolutely not true!

AUTHOR: Moosie - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2017

When I read this I was shocked. I have three pigs from the breeder. Different ages and different sex. The needle teeth have always been cut. No other teeth have been messed with. What concerns me with this post. Is that front teeth being missing and she is under the impression that that's what pigs chew with? So it makes me a little leery about her story.

This breeder has been wonderful with her pigs and any questions or concerns I've ever had she has always been there for me. She's been there for other piggy parents. Why has this lady or even the previous buyer not contacted the breeder? She will address any concerns. There is no need for this kind of malicious behavior.
