In September of 2012 I signed up for a mini session for $50.  It was called back to school and my daughter was just entering Kindergarten so I figured it would be great to get pictures of her entering into kindergarten.  We had a date set and I bought her a new outfit.  I live about 45 minutes away from where this was to take place outdoors.  I heard there was a chance of rain and tried to contact Jennifer through email and phone calls the morning of but I got no response.  I finished getting my daughter ready and headed to where the shoot was to take place.  Only to find 20 minutes into our trip Jennifer calls me to cancel and say that it was going to rain.  I understand that nobody could control the weather but if there is an outdoor shoot planned then she should be on top of it.  She should have answered my calls or touched base with me before we were on our way over. 

So we scheduled another appointment which was canceled again.  Then cold weather set in and we could no longer do the shoot outside.  I was never emailed by her, or contacted as to when the next date would be.  My daughter is no longer entering kindergarten she is half way through with the school year.  I work long hours now, in September I was not working... so now I am unable to drive 45 minutes away for a photo shoot that was intended for September. 

I emailed Jennifer asking for a refund for my $50 and she has refused.  We never signed a contract, we had an agreement and that was not met.  Refusing $50 to keep a happy customer, I think that is horrible.  I have now filed papers with my credit card to get my money back.  I have read many negative reports over the internet about how this women is rude and unprofessional and I still choose to give her the benefit of the doubt and give her a try.  Please don't make my mistake.

My child was NEVER ill.  you have lied.  YOU canceled both times.  The first time I was driving to you when you finally returned my call.    I want a refund.  Is this what you do?  You took my $50 ... and will not refund it.  You canceled 2 times, a rude email?  All I did was email and ask for a refund. Your email to me was rude, that you refused to give me a refund for something that should have been done 4 months ago.  I will make sure I review you on every site that I can find to warn people about your shady business practices, just like the other reviews around the internet that I have read about you.

I had asked as I always do for a non refundable retainer to hold clients time/day. The first reschedule was on the clients behalf. I didnt even charge my normal rescheduling fee of $75 since I understood the child was ill. The next reschedules were due to weather. I offered the option of shooting indoors and client preferred outside. After not hearing from the client for weeks about rescheduling I get a rude email about being refunded. I explained that the money was a non refundable retainer that held the initial spot she canceled where I could've had another client and I also explained she could still use the session. Still til this date that money is still useable with her session with me. I'm not sure what changed her mind but it seems very unfortunate that it has gotten to this point. ;(
